Yes, they realized it was cheaper to perfect 3D then actually pay people to do decent 2D. So the authentic Chinese experience, like here, is shitty plot, abysmal dialogue, facepalm gameplay, criminally bad MTL, but great graphics! Of course that's not exclusive to mainland Chinese stuff, but it sure is very much the norm.
