There's quite a few of players & hard-core patrons that have played the game over & over again and are really into the story.

I mean REALLY into the story. As in they message me a few times each update trying to guess what is coming in the next few releases. Quite are a few have mentioned that they're concerned that the game is going to finish soon & keep asking me how many updates are left, and if I'm going to do a sequel.

Some of them admit to have re-played the game dozens of times. :oops:

Funny thing is NOBODY seems to enjoy GTH.

a good story like this , well written ,doesnt need lewds (imo, f/e leap of faith - i would play it too without a single lewd scene )
lewds are the cherry on top here (and yeah never played gth , maybe later )

I think it's the change of pace. The game is different. A spiritual thriller with fun moments. I love a good thriller. AFS is something different from the norm and a good story to enjoy. I'm not always in the mood for sex focused VNs. Sometimes I just want to chill out with a good fun read. AFS fits the bill.

There are only so many hours in a day, right now I'm pretty busy wrapping up AFAS & getting my new project ready to launch as soon as AFAS finishes.

At which time I'll come back to GTH & finish off that game also.

i think if you build a "emotional connection" with npc's at a game ,without sex/lewds with em,
and at a spin-off you (have to) gotta plow em
thats not for everyone
can really talk only from my own pov for this ,
i would maybe go for danny but never sadie at GTH
you may get the point

That was the end of chapter... 38?
If I'm not mistaken.

CERTAINLY NOT the end of chapter 40. I don't know who updated the OP this last time, but it wasn't me.
I logged on to post chapter 40 and AFAS had literally just hit the LATEST UPDATES list.

Someone else updated it.

Let me know and if it's not the end of Chapter 40 I'll update the OP.

Chapter 40 should end with these as the last 3 images.
You'll have to click on them, f95 apparently doesn't preview .webp's.

The MC drops Tilly off in the Undercroft and goes back to fetch the others, leaving Tilly to hold down the fort until his return.

The game file size , zipped, PC version, should be 3,195,279
Just hair over 3.1GB

And it's kind of weird, I clicked on all 4 of the hosting services and it's showing anything from 3.0 to 3.35gb!?

I smell a rat.

The file from Patreon was 3.3GB for Chapter 40.

Pretty sure that would have been in his caps.

Well I used the MEGA link in the OP and got the chapter 40 just fine.

Oh, okay. Then it's fine. Good to know, I guess I had a bit of panic attack.

Whoever re-did all the tags certainly nailed every single one of them.
