The problem with the ending is that as an end point in a choice driven adventure it is much more difficult to write than in a traditional novel. The starting point is singular while the ending might be a myriad. So then writing the ending and working backward is much more complex and hard to do. To give multiple satisfying ending becomes almost impossible. Fortunately aFW seem to have a narrative thread that is, mostly, independent of player choice. So at least that part is looking like it will easier to write in a satisfying and meaningful way. The relationship part on the other hand, I wonder how hard it will be to pull off for everyone. Maybe the big lines will be good for many players, but I have a hard time seeing it be satisfying for everyone in the end.
