Okay, but we're wrapping back to the main issue at hand.
Video games have this unique possibility of showing things that a 10 minute video or a 25 page doujin can't. When I came into the world of porn games, corruption and games with extensive buildup in general were the norm. Think of Dating My Daughter that took like 20 updates to have sex content (I mean dick in pussy) or Innocent Witches that did incredibly well (before they decided to rewrite the entire story).
I can't possibly show the sisters or mom or aunt having sex because I want to enjoy the full potential of the medium I chose (a video game) can offer. I want to show them slowly push their boudaries and break taboo one touch at a time.
To me, just showing incest sex is like showing a cooking video. You get the look, but you don't get the smell or taste of the dish, just like in your quick, not built-up sex scene you don't get a proper feel of the taboo and the sense that you're looking at something forbidden. Those things need to be laid out, there needs to be doubt shown in the characters minds, and lust, and many things so its proper potential can reveal itself to the player.
To me, maybe because I played those older games, those things are a given. You're playing a video game because you want to see buildup. I'll never understand people complaining about not getting immediate sex when PornHub is just a click away.

Now if you're talking about how long my updates take to make, I acknowledged that on my release post. I know my updates are long, and I keep trying my best to shorten my dev cycles. The comparison to The Red Room doesn't hold up either. I always keep my followers up-to-date every 10 days (I have without fail for more than a year now), which is not even the main issue with ALISHIA, which is that she tends to disappear (because of real-life events), not being able to work for months on end which is not my case. The size of my updates match how long they take to make.

So yeah, for now, it's obviously impossible for me to show a (non-dream) sex scene (again, meaning dick in pussy) because there's no proper story that explains how the characters got there. I'm sure with everything I set up during 0.4 I'll have occasions to show some sexual activity though, and the next update will have more and more references to horniness, but I'll hold that thought to myself until 0.4 enters full release. But please stop asking for sex (again, excluding simple teasing) scenes when it doesn't make sense for it to happen now...

I actually agree with Limina_Leaker on the dream issue, it kinda cheapens arriving at the point you're building up to (ever so slightly), and it has limited/no impact on the dynamic in the story; unless it serves as a catalyst for behavioral change in the character having the dream. Then, I think it's perfectly fine and even useful as a narrative mechanic.

But if it's meant to display/work on technical skills or tide people over until the development gets to the point of real content being included, I personally think a porn-watching sequence serves better on that front. It sucks because you have to make throwaway characters for content that isn't going to be engaged with often, but it also preserves a lot of the excitement for the buildup that dream sequences chip away at. But with porn-viewing, you can also incorporate that into a masturbation scene, which would increase the engagement with both forms of content.

I think that's how a lot of people feel but they wouldn't express it in those words. You clearly state why buildup is so important in this post, especially for incest content, and most people who don't like dream sequences want that feeling maximally-preserved.

Yes, I explicitly went against my own tastes when I made those dream sequences, I feel that way about them too. I made them mostly because people were yearning for a sex scene, and I wanted to see if adding those would calm people who were complaining about the lack of sex (it didn't )
But I don't regret making them. In the end, it shows off in a nice way how horny Alice is for her relatives, it shows that the teasing Riley and Emily did on Alice in the living room was actually very effective, and honestly, I enjoyed making them. I think they're pretty hot. Visually I mean. Story wise... They're dream sequences

It's locked to the $5 tier supporters and above. The latest public post on my SS page is the release post, and there is an other pinned post with the links and extra information about the update, like the temporary changelog.
The full (public!) release will happen in 2 weeks to a month from now.
