Maybe F95 should make a separate area in this forum for Visual Novels. That way, people who love to click through scenes have their own area, and those of us who like games can have some peace.

Totally agree, at least those who really like to play (sandbox) will have their area and those who just want to read will have their library. :ROFLMAO: And don't tell me that a VN and a game is just a book on another medium.

Seriously so many people complaining that they have to play a game. There's tons of visual novels on this site if you want to read, and way fewer sandbox games. Stop trying to take this away from us

It's a plague. Like the NTR haters. Literally foaming at the mouth at something they don't have to play. And the worst part is when they think their opinion is objective when all they do is repeat the same old tired arguments as if they were smart...

Hey Misarmor, I see you received a lot of backalsh on this update. I can't judge bc I didn't play it.
I admit last update had me frustrated a bit and seeing the changelogs I'm afraid this'll be the case again.
I respect how you are trying to make the sandbox accessible, easy and user friendly for everyone to enjoy. I admit I was hoping you'd done all the structure of the game and the testing prior to releasing the 1st ver. However, I also understand that smt the unexpected occurs or we just learn of a better way to do things. So yeah I'm past the frustrated stage lol. I just hope you won't fall in the eternal cycle like so many dev/s did and abandoned their work afterwards.

Idk if it's alrdy done but if it's not you should add another part with the quest logs, smt like "Repetitive events/secondary quests" or whatever where we can see and understand how to get all the contents. Maybe make that optional for the sandbox lovers who love to take their time and discover everything by themselves (I mean you don't even need to, if they want to do everything then they should just avoid opening it). I won't lie, I rly don't want to try and follow every character depending on their schedule. Plus it might change depending on the day/weather/mood...
So yeah I'd be rly thankful if you added smt that'd tell us the exact conditions needed to get an event when it's not part of the main story.

ps: Note that I didn't play the current update

Misarmor...YOU are the developer, YOU decide how your game evolves...not the freeloaders who don't pay a penny/dime and then complain that it didn't meet their [sophisticated] expectations. They are just a bunch of jokers, pushing your buttons and enjoying the reactions. I understand you want your game to be monetarily successful, but don't sell your soul in the process. Develop the game as YOU want it to be...you'll always find a fanbase, so no worries dude!!

Or better yet, have a separate place for sandbox games, since those can be done fairly well, or incredibly poorly. Many people outright avoid them. Having a separate section would allow people to completely ignore any game with this feature.

Oh, and you have a bit of a straw-man argument there since it's not "Visual Novels" that people claim to want as much as NOT WANT sandbox games. With the number of very shitty sandbox games, where they basically are a good way to pad out development time to hold up numbers so devs can say they did something, where other, non-sandbox devs have to actually move the story along in some capacity (or not iof they 'milk' a lot), it's not surprising that they are avoided by a lot of people.

Between 'dream sex' being the only sex in a game 4-5 release in, or 'sandbox' with no actual real 'action' 4-5 release in, it's understandable that people are tired of waiting. One thing sandbox games usually AREN'T known for it a solid story, since you really can't do one due to the formatting, so even that isn't there to 'hook' people.

With all that being said, the game is what it is. People can like it or not, but there's zero need to attack people who have legitimate (to them) issues with the pace of the game, or the content based on the releases thus far. Being petty and attacking others, instead of maybe seeing if there is at least a kernel of truth in their complaints, and how to improve shows a bit of a an immature attitude.

And before you want to attack me for stating a moderate opinion, I am and have been actually supporting the game, so.. yeah, it is what it is.

No need. If you see the sandbox tag and you don't like it, just don't click on the topic. It's that simple. No need to create new systems.

My game hasn't seen 4-5 major content releases but 3.The other releases (minor ones) have been direct answers to people's criticism and feedback. You can read the thread back, and you'll see me thanking people for pointing out issues or giving suggestions about improving areas of the game.
My biggest issue with your comment is that you paint the comments I respond to as criticism.

Except their issues aren't legitimate, lol. All they do is make shit up about the game, throw empty comments (why go on a Sandbox game's thread to cry about sandboxes???) and make retarded assumptions about me possibly abandonning the game (I've been consistently releasing progress reports every 10 days for about 2 years now...).
You pointed out a strawman the person you quoted made, let me point a fallacy you're making yourself: please don't paint the people I'm responding to as critics, they're trolls. I'm not going around attacking people from criticizing my game, I'm defending my game from trolls who spread lies about it and make assumptions that fit a narrative they already made up in their mind.

PS: Do note that the person I responded to nuanced their post after I responded to them. In case that's the reason you're commenting about this...

Fair response. :) I'll close with this.. Make a product that's beyond reproach and people won't have the ability to complain, or they can but can be easily disproved. :) This is not to say you haven't done this already, I'm happy with where the game is myself.

A great mentor I once had, said that by responding to trolls you empower them, and that holds true almost every time. It's understandable to want to defend your work, but speaking for myself only, I try to just do the best work possible and let that work speak for my efforts. However, feel free to do what you prefer. :)
