I wish someday my MC will be able to tell Rae, that he loves her, she is such a bae. Or even in the ending, when everyone can leave the house, she can stay on earth with him.
I'm honestly hoping on an ending where you can stay with your chosen girl, or well romantically involved with your chosen girl and all the girls staying, that would work too. But if you think about, most don't have a reason to return.I wish someday my MC will be able to tell Rae, that he loves her, she is such a bae. Or even in the ending, when everyone can leave the house, she can stay on earth with him.
A couple of points:<snip>
Because she unleashed a horde of world-eating demons on her world. Rae said that if she goes back she'll probably be executed.- Why would Cait be hated? If the MC hadn't intervened, at the very least she'd be dead. If anything, she'd be the subject of a cautionary tale on her world.
Of course she wants to find out what happened, but if her crew are dead or they have split up and joined other ships, with her not having a ship or a crew there's not much for her to go back to.- Naomi still wants to know what happened to her crew. Its one thing to say she was almost eaten by that kraken, but its another thing that her crew is "probably" dead. She'd still want to know - If they're dead, she can grieve for them and if they're alive, there's a weight off her shoulders. But right now, she's in the limbo of not knowing either way.
I'm not sure how any of these contradict the girls possibly deciding to stay with the MC when given the choice.- Granted, Lyriel can visit her aunt, but the visits are still limited to the MC. There's a huge difference between these flying visits and actually getting to visit.
- Yona's father was killed and the tribe hasn't sought revenge. That she thought she had died means that she thought she had failed. Only, with the MC telling she is actually alive and one day could go back, she's building up that drive.
- As for Rae, I'm not sure if she is actually getting tired of her old life as it might be that she's at a point where she might have a choice about her life. Big difference. And that chance of a choice is intriguing to her.
Wasn‘t there a scene where Cait and the Mc briefly visit her homeworld and everything is alright? I might misremember though.Because she unleashed a horde of world-eating demons on her world. Rae said that if she goes back she'll probably be executed.
It was alright because the mage college was able to close the rift she opened -- it will not close of its own accord as Cait thought it would. Rae is pretty certain she'll have been tried in absentia and sentenced to death.Wasn‘t there a scene where Cait and the Mc briefly visit her homeworld and everything is alright? I might misremember though.
Iirc Cait's world is the same one Rae's mentor lives in, so that visit also served as a check on its general state. So yeah, nothing terrible actually happened but it did have the potential for an apocalypse level fuck up so concern about Cait's legal standing in that world is more than warranted.Wasn‘t there a scene where Cait and the Mc briefly visit her homeworld and everything is alright? Or something along those lines at least, like him visiting often as he prob will have the power to do that anyway. But he should stay together with Rae. I don't think I can handle a bad or sad ending for this game.To be honest by the fact that this is a harem game anything else than the MC becoming powerful enough to travel between the worlds however he pleases and all the girls staying with him in the end then the ending is bad.
First I wanted to include an example for a "normal" game I enjoyed playing but it has a terrible end but I didn't include it in my post. So yeah a game can be good while playing but it is also easy to ruin it with a bad ending.Or something along those lines at least, like him visiting often as he prob will have the power to do that anyway. Yes, I am german and I know what you mean by "nothing holds as long as a makeshift solution" but to be honest I never used that idiom myself.Well, regardless of the question whether it would be wise to go back home, I still see strong incentives for the girls to want to end the current situation.
First and foremost, harem porn game or not, fucking, eating and watching TV and reading books is not very exciting in the long run, especially if you have to wait your turn. People want goals or a purpose. Second, the people in this house have no control over their lives whatsoever. They are confined to a small space they cannot really leave. Even with your needs catered for this feels at best like being a pet of destiny.
This does not mean that they have to go back - but they would want the possibility or opportunity to go back. Then they can still decide to stay on as long as they can go back home (or a different, better, place) tomorrow. An ending with options (not for the player, for the characters) to "do as they please", including visiting each other and going places, regardless of whether they will actually do so. So both "stay in the house but visit the world(s)" (maybe not even limited to their own but we would need a reason) or "go back home each but visit each other when they want" would probably work. Them just staying there because they just cannot leave would be a bad ending in my book. Them staying there but they can leave tomorrow however, as some suggestions went, could work. Always stay one day more - in German (HansDampf may know it - the name sounds pretty German to me) there is a saying which translates "nothing holds as long as a makeshift solution".
Sorry, then I myself did not express myself correctly, I understood what you wanted to say and tried to agree with it and expand on it. Doesn't help if you're ESL and try to keep thinking how to correctly translate some idiom - the rest of the text suffersYes, I am german and I know what you mean by "nothing holds as long as a makeshift solution" but to be honest I never used that idiom myself.
Maybe my post was a bit too short, I didn't mean they should stay in the house in the end I thought more like the MC is so powerful in the end that there are no limitations for him anymore when it's coming to go to other worlds as in time or which world they can go.
With the girls staying with him I didn't mean that they should stay in the house him but being in a relationship with him and traveling together trough other worlds whenever they are bored in the house.
As I said that I am german English is also my second language add to this my dyslexia and that I haven't spoken with someone in English since I left school over 15 years ago I know that it is sometimes difficult but let me give you a tip in case you aren't already using them bookmark Deepl to translate things you are not sure about and get the Grammarly browser extension both help a lot when I write comments.Sorry, then I myself did not express myself correctly, I understood what you wanted to say and tried to agree with it and expand on it. Sorry for any misunderstandings.
No, as others have said he visited Dun Eideann with Rae and they saw that the wizards there had been able to contain the incursion without it destroying the whole world. We have no idea how much damage was done in the meantime though.Wasn‘t there a scene where Cait and the Mc briefly visit her homeworld and everything is alright? I might misremember though.
OK, but that's not what people are suggesting will happen. Imagine if our guy learns to fully use his power, he severs the links that keep everyone bound to the house, creates a portal in the doorway that the residents can use to travel to their worlds etc., then why is living there with him and the other girls while they do what they want to do with their lives any less desirable than going to live somewhere else and doing it?Well, regardless of the question whether it would be wise to go back home, I still see strong incentives for the girls to want to end the current situation.

I suspect that what we will find is that all or most of them survived, but with no ship and no captain they separated and went their different ways. I suspect that all the girls will end up staying with him in the end (if you do their routes, at least), and narratively this means not having too much pulling them away for it to work. Having a crew and a ship wanting her back would definitely fall in that category.I much preffer finding the crew alive and well. Her presence could generate a lot of feelings: Happyness for having their captain back, hatred for having been abandoned or for showing up and theretening the position of the person that took her place as captain of the ship. And therr is also the fact that she can't always be present, that is a no go for a ship's capatain. Anything can happen from such a situation.
Do you know where you read that? I don't remember seeing anything like that, though I only follow here and Patreon, I don't use Discord or Twitter.Anyway that is just speculation Zanith will choose what he want to do. I remember a whille back reading that each character would get a small out of the house hub. Mentor's house for Rae, School for Cait, ship for Naomie and inn for Lyriel.
It was on Patreon in a public post a few months back.I think it was a roadmap post or something similar. He said that he was doing environment for each girl. Lyrile even though was the new character at the time already had her environment in the inn. And Naomi's was the hardest to do with a caravelle that didn't look like shit or that was prohibitively expansive for his asset budget. No, as others have said he visited Dun Eideann with Rae and they saw that the wizards there had been able to contain the incursion without it destroying the whole world. Thanks for clarifying, that was what I meant, the girls and MC don't have to stay in his house all the time and allNo, as others have said he visited Dun Eideann with Rae and they saw that the wizards there had been able to contain the incursion without it destroying the whole world. Well, the question when "being bound to the house but being able to travel" becomes freedom instead of confinement is on a sliding scale but generally the difference is agency. People in general do not like not being able to choose something else even if they would not do so. Just to have an option in case the want or need arises. I don't want to ever move out of my hometown, it also is pretty unlikely that I would ever need to, but forbid me to settle up somewhere else and I will feel restricted. Even if I can go there on holidays. Then the question arises "how long can a vacation be?"OK, but that's not what people are suggesting will happen. OK, that isn't saying what you think it's saying. Nothing in there implies a hub you can move around like we move around the house. It was on Patreon in a public post a few months back.I think it was a roadmap post or something similar.
