At six years, you should probably be considering the conclusion of the development cycle. Most games that go on longer in development don't benefit from it.

Especially with a VN like this, you should start considering if perhaps some aspects need to be cut, because the story is clearly lingering and these things DO have a livespan in the reader's appreciation. You want the story to have a proper end at some point!
While I understand and even probably agree with your point from a creative standpoint, they are making $25,000 a month right now. Ending this and starting a new game is always going to cost a significant number of patrons, so unless there's a sudden bleeding of patrons, I doubt that they are even starting to contemplate an ending. Especially since most of the characters have had either little (Naomi) to no (Yona, Blair) resolution to their personal quests.

Why does IT need a proper end?

"The Strings are ripping, so everyone goes Back to it's homeworld. MC realises how selfish IT would bei if asha would Cut down her lifespan Just so He can be with her. So He days his final good Bye to her, Out of true Love and goes Back to his homeworld alone. THE END"

There. Satisfyed?

Let's keep this going. Devs could write an end to the Story in a single Update. It's Not a Story focused Game anyway. More Like an ongoing chain of seperaten Events where the end of the Story ist pretty much known from the start.
