While I am usually a fan of keeping the cast smaller - even though some games pull of quite some major cast without major hiccups - here I wouldn't call it "adding" as much, after all, there is a certain number of doors and not using them all would work of course but would feel off to me from a game logic point of view.
Whether everybody likes every character the same specifically is a different question of course.

I dislike the idea of adding another character mostly because it takes time away from the development of the other girls and the game in general, and I just don't feel like another girl is necessary. Also I would like to see the story completed at some point, my biggest fear being that this is just going to become an endless game where we never get to see the end of the story.

I disagree about Yona and Blair, but agree about more events involving multiple girls. That's why Blair is coming now rather than later, so that we can have multi-girl events without them needing to be updated again like the group dinner event.

Agree. More "slice of life" scenes. Sexy ones, but not necessarily sexual ones. And no more girls. Yona was a mistake, I agree with that too. Adding content for all that characters without delaying the development of the plot for months and months seems more than the dev can deliver.

Yes, but does the story really need another girl or is this just sex scene pandering to the Patron's? I would much rather see the dev focus on Rae, Naomi, Cait and Lyri with lot's more sex and non sex scenes, then that he spend a lot of time adding new girls and bringing their scene's up to the level of the original four.

Different spook got different sexy scene, you just gotta have the correct item. Cross for rae, mouse for cait, etc (I forgot which need which actually)
The creator giving the the people who pay money what they want? How outrageous! Don't they know listening to a select few commenters from a message board who may or may not be financial contributors is obviously the better business model?
Less sarcastically, I'm pretty sure adding another character has been primarily Zanith's idea, with the patron's input mostly being "yes we would like this" rather than "we demand you add a character to fulfill this missing fetish niche".
I don't think this is necessarily an either/or situation. Patreon may incentivize extending a project's duration, but that's true of basically any serialized piece of fiction. As for AHitR specifically, while I enjoy the story, I'm less compelled with the narrative than the character interactions, sexual and non-sexual alike. Porn games don't seem to make a deliberate effort to embrace the slice-of-life genre and generally seem to implement it as statistical grind blocking the path to sex, rather than making it compelling in itself the way this one does. So for me, if it takes an extra year or two to resolve the core issue of the house and allowing the return of all the characters to their home planes permanently, but we still get the level of content that we have been, I will continue to by a Patron.
So there's only the heavy windows version for now.. ~waiting some days~

Eh Yona is an interesting addition to the cast. I don't understand all the dislike she's getting.

The Links for the compressed version are for the 0.5.9r1 build and not for the 5.0r1 version.
v0.5.10 went public today, so I updated all the links to the latest ones. r2 fixes a minor issue with the Lyriel's shower sex replay, so don't bother with it if you already got r1, probably. Unless you changed the language to Russian. Then get the patch, it'll revert this.
