It's possible that the dev doesn't want it to be strictly a porn game. I think there's enough story put into this that he probably considers it more an Adult Visual Novel rather than just a porn game. I think the dev has been trying to focus the last several updates around pushing some story forward that's been left in the dust for a little while now too. So, with that likely taking priority, he's probably not gonna focus so hard on the sex scenes until he feels like the stuff that's lacking has been caught up.This is the 4th consecutive update without new scenes, did the dev forget he was making a porn game?
But here's the thing: porn is intertwined with the game's identity, much like gun fights in John Wick. 4 updates without a single scene is like one hour without any fight scenes in John Wick movie, it's incredibly out of place and weirdIt's possible that the dev doesn't want it to be strictly a porn game. Well, there has been lewd content and the game has certainly moved past the point where you'd have to add "filler scenes"/dreams/etc. just for the sake of it.But here's the thing: porn is intertwined with the game's identity, much like gun fights in John Wick. 4 updates without a single scene is like one hour without any fight scenes in John Wick movie, it's incredibly out of place and weird
I think new scenes will be increasingly difficult to make, since you obviously don't want two similar scenes. This is the 4th consecutive update without new scenes, did the dev forget he was making a porn game?
Are you asking for permission to discuss the game? That's kind of what this thread is for. As for the ratings, it's not locked(or shouldn't be) it's just set up pretty poorly in my opinion. To leave a review you have to click on the little stars next to the title and type it in there. That's how I've always had to do it. Keep in mind though, the reviews have to be about the actual state of the game and not theories about what may happen in the story. I also think they are supposed to be 200 characters but don't quote me on that. Quite a few of them aren't.Hi guys. I'm a newbie here and i need some advices.
I wrote a text about some characters of this remarkable game (thank you again Zanith!) and i want to post it here, but i'm not sure of something.
This is a reasoning about characters, what happens to them, what may have been happening to them and what may will happen to them. But characters are very tight connected to a storyline, which is not completed yet, and i have my doubts. Is it appropriate to publish such a thing here?
Still not very familiar with this place. There is a game review area here nearby, but it seems closed to me. Should i place my text right here? Or what else options do i have?
Yeah, I think that's a better way of putting it. It's a work in progress anyway, so I understand that something that's lacking right now could very well be fixed up in the final product. I think Yona and Lyriel are both great examples of this: When they were first introduced and their introduction was pretty much all there was, I didn't like Yona (because she was boring, not really anything there), and I hated Lyriel (she's a total bitch and I think right around the time I started playing was right before the arc that has her character development). But Lyriel is a lot better after her events where she has to learn to get along with everyone, and Yona's now starting to interest me because she's actually got content coming. So far, whether it's story or sex, Zanith's done a pretty good job of keeping good quality in my opinion, so I'm just happy to see what's going on in the updates for now.In general, I try to understand games - sandbox-ish games even more so than "pure" VNs - from the view of the finished game, not in terms of individual updates. The latter can be misleading sometimes. E. g. if Yona now gets four content updates in a row that would seem strange to us who "consume" the game incrementally, but may make up for the lack of updates earlier and the discrepancies may not even be noticeable in a finished game anymore.
Rae tried mind control magic on you the first day, Yona tried to kill you, Naomi would also attack you if you don't talk right.and I hated Lyriel (she's a total bitch and I think right around the time I started playing was right before the arc that has her character development).
Regarding Lyriel there's a bit of a misunderstanding caused by her first appareance, when talking with the soldier she comes across as a hardcore racist bitch but later we learn she's just a confused teenager.Rae tried mind control magic on you the first day, Yona tried to kill you, Naomi would also attack you if you don't talk right.

This is sort of prison anyway, and you are kind of jailer. To make it better there is also a demon and a pirate. Lyriel reacted pretty civil given the situation and her magical ability. It is just she is a bit childish, releasing her anger on everyone in sight.

Not everyone is a trained diplomat like rae.
We do not really know how racist she is, but when talking to the soldier, she was already exiled and had to take refugee in a not so elegant inn inside a human city, and she fears someday she would be forced into prostitute for human. Obviously she won't be too happy see a human, especially when a man is trying to talk with her.....Regarding Lyriel there's a bit of a misunderstanding caused by her first appareance, when talking with the soldier she comes across as a hardcore racist bitch but later we learn she's just a confused teenager.
The conversation makes it painfully obvious that the soldier was your regular nice guy, maybe he was flirting with her but he wasn't planning to rape her or sell her off to slavers, she didn't want to even talk to an inferior race and that's not how she behaves in the house so a lot of people misunderstood her teenager rebellious like attitude for deep-rooted racism. We do not really know how racist she is, but when talking to the soldier, she was already exiled and had to take refugee in a not so elegant inn inside a human city, and she fears someday she would be forced into prostitute for human. I mean, is it even actually a misunderstanding? It's hardly a one-off for her to talk about the superiority of the "highborn" (her word for elves).
I think that's why she was sent to live with her aunt. One gets the feeling that Lyriel grew up somewhat isolated, small elven community or the like. The big problem for her is that she hasn't really had contact with the other peoples of her world. She only knows about Elven culture, and the prospect of realising how much the world she didn't know about caused her to double down on that aspect. If she can't understand it, its stupid and I would imagine that's one of the reasons why her aunt wanted her to live with her. Ignorance is dangerous, especially for a girl who is as sheltered as Lyriel is. Which is why Lyriel being trapped in the House is a good thing for her. She can learn about other cultures and get her head out of her ass in a safe environment. And when she gets back to her home, she might be in a better position to explore it properly.I mean, is it even actually a misunderstanding? My point is that during her intro Lyriel looked like a complete different character from what we see at the house, racist elf vs teenager elf.I mean, is it even actually a misunderstanding? It's hardly a one-off for her to talk about the superiority of the "highborn" (her word for elves).
