I really had high hopes that this Rae event would finally push the story forward in a significant way or at least develop her character/relationship to MC more, we've been leading up to it for fuckign eternity. But from the sounds of the comments, its not worth checking the update out?

Nah, you don't learn actually shit about Rae and Sugarita, (or whatever her name is), just drops of info and things people could already imagine, and at the end it's another "Rae: I can't tell you now, MC, but I will soon, give me some time." "MC: Ok, I can give you time." So, in a year or so we'll have another update about Rae's story that will be disappointingly short and uninteresting, and will end up in another bad cliffhanger, as usual.

Seem to be blocked from getting all the potion recipes since Cait is now monopolizing the library "figuring some things out" all day every day and there's no more story for her this update.

I didn't experience that when I played this update, but I've finished all of the quests (including side quests).

The last time I saw Caitlin block the library was the heist (0.7.15 content). Do you have any incomplete (or ignored) quests?

So, in a year or so we'll have another update about Rae's story that will be disappointingly short and uninteresting, and will end up in another bad cliffhanger, as usual.

0.7.19 alpha release information says it has the answers (in beta/EA). My guess would be the update got split in half due to the number of renders.

For whatever reason, the Patreon backers seem to like the chemistry/alchemy side content. (I personally want more story.)

This game just can't resist the urge to delay resolution and stretch out intrigue, which is fine on its own.

Except, it goes so far as to make your LI a closed-off, secretive, stubborn person whenever it's their storyline. It comes at the cost of feeling like your relationship with the LI is shallower than you thought. As though after everything you've been through they still can't trust or confide in you. Your advice and care is worthless to them as soon as they get a bit emotional.

Why do they save their huge reveals for conversations with third parties when they could have given you a head's up beforehand. They drop a huge nugget in the middle of a conversation with someone that's a stranger to you and then act annoyed when you want to question it or get them to elaborate. I guess we should just shut up and be their mule to taxi them back to their world.

If it was just 1 or 2 characters, that could be dismissed as their personality but when it happens so often it starts feeling like they don't have a personality beyond how they must act to keep the intrigue going.

Took so much digging, shit is so nested in this game's files, but i found the chemistry recipe file, every one of them is found in

ahitr\game\scripts\quests\side_quests\lost_and_found\7_chemistry_set\chemistry_minigame_manager.rpy

Though you'll have to use unren to unpack the scripts.rpa file. For those who are struggling with the 2nd Lyriel potion cause of the smudged text:

In this game you are an Uber driver for the LIs, and you are payed with sex, mostly because you're the only cock around. That's all. And it's normal since your character has no background and is a personality black hole. Dev didn't care about him enough for create a real MC and giving him some traits and story, so... why the LIs should care about him? I don't care about him either, and I'm playing like him...

Hi, are there any prerequisites to making the potions? Because I found a recipe in the library but there is nothing in the garage to help me with this. I'm not on Blair's path, could that be why I'm stuck?

Check your journal for the quest, make sure you're going to the garage in the afternoon and check the cardboard box on the metal table.

If memory serves, you have to search the library shelves. Assuming Cait hasn't locked herself in there just to be extra annoying.

That looks like you've done/skipped the tutorial ('skip' only skips the scene), so you just need to find the potions now. Search the library.

Assuming Cait hasn't locked herself in there just to be extra annoying.

She should only be doing that if she's preparing for the heist.
