find a bug, roll back, save, open compressed version, do the event, save, go back to normal
or just play compressed version, except for the audio quality there is not too much difference

it actually fixed itself. i just loaded a save from before starting the dream and just skipped over it and did the others tasks/quests and got to a point where i didn't have anything else to do other than sleep and just did a quick save and tried again and it worked fine. not sure what the tasks were that needed to be done before doing the dream but that is the only answer i could come up with. that something had to be done first. this has been the first issue i had in the game and i havent run into any others "yet".

gotta love the "it's definitely probably maybe the final hotfix" part
as for next version i never expected the r1 to be posted as it had bugs and the r2 was made quite fast XD

That's not something you just try to add after over five years development. I think they tried to fix something that wasn't broken and it shows. as more scenes that are optional pile up many (new) people may don't ever get to even see them so yes, the tracking it's an obvious QoL improvement, how can you fail to see it? the problem is that is not YET working properly, but when it does, great addition
also QoL for the dev too so the ppl don't ask every time "how do i get this scene", ppl get exasperating, need a walkthrough but not a normal one, they need their hand to be held to the end so the don't cry... seriously, sometimes it's hard to believe that the people in the "help" section of some (too many) discord games are actual adults
the track system, although not a walkthrough it's also a QoL improvement for discord
btw i so wish i could facepalm posts (any emoji would do) on f95...

I mean, one of the biggest and most valid complaints about the game was the disorganization of the questlines and how things would jump around as certain quests added and clearly meant to be ACCESSED later would accidentally be available earlier. Attaching everything to an affection meter is a basic bitch, but effective, means of organizing stuff so Cait doesn't turn into a turboslut for a single scene.

And while I agree that Yona and Blair are lacking in depth, I'm also aware that Yona at least is not to my preference in terms of body type, so I was probably never going to care for her any way. Presumably more work in her direction would make her more interesting aspects more prominent and her less interesting aspects less so.

Thing is, the story has mostly stalled. That's the most cardinal sin, in my opinion, because that's what most people are here for. People do not usually play Visual Novels for the rivetting gameplay. If there isn't much story left and the devs want to work on side-content and other filler, that's fine; finish up the story and then tool the game into whatever shape you want. But you have to finish the shape of the table before you can begin sanding it down and beveling the edges, otherwise you could very well just fuck up and give yourself more work when you finally DO go back to the unfinished side.

There may be some fear that people will stop supporting if they finish the main storyline, and while I understand it, it's a little silly considering there's people who will still pay monthly money to a dev for games that haven't been updated in literal years.

Oh fucking yes, finally!! My old saves work now with v0.8.03b as no other version fixed it for me.

I know it's just a beta but I have a full v0.7 backup anyway. I appreciate the effort in getting old saves working again, but boy was that frustrating for a while.

I can finally see what I've been missing, haven't even played through v0.7 content yet...

Honestly. The game being a bit buggier and requiring more hotfixes while they add QoL features doesn't really bother me.

Like most sandbox games. This one has been suffering from tech debt and outdated systems for a few years now. It's made starting a new playthrough a pain in the ass. Especially with the continuity issues from events just happening out of order constantly.

Dealing with some buggy releases for a bit isn't that big of a deal while the bigger issues get fixed.

yes, fan art, nothing to do with game, sorry they to old? they with genesis 3 models (older models) and just for fun. Not an expert but will look into making them look younger, no promises :)

In my experience DAZ is just terrible for making people who look young. I've seen attempts at small children who look like middle-aged dwarfs... And not any successes in making the children look like children.

It's the nature of the poser program, DAZ just does not do anything younger than 30 for the face, and you're lucky if you get that much. It's probably the worst poser out there, frankly.

I love Rae, spent a good amount of time enjoying this game. The previous version I had was bugged on Cait, the last brought some nice QoL improvement. Grindiness could be improved imho.
