Regarding the whole book discussion, I believe it has been mentioned way earlier, but the books on physics from the MCs world might actually, one day, help mages to understand things about magic they didn't, by means of knowledge transfer through analogy.

I've said before I'll find it hilarious if our guy's knowledge of physics, coupled with what he's learning about magic synergises and lets him surpass their great mages in a relatively short amount of time. Along with the great raw power he has he would be like the most powerful thing ever. And all that from a world without magic.

I have to admit I'm not as much into power fantasies (in that context, when it comes to the reason we are all here, very much), I think it would have neat comic relief, and potential for story telling, to just start of with a discussion about magic, where he knows nothing, and then something comes up no one yet understands and he just thinks that makes sense, and then everyone wants to know how he knew, but, you know it, time's up, gotta leave.
Edit: What could also be played upon is Culture Shock. Something in either world one of the cast thinks is kinda weird, or backwards, but upon closer inspection, the same could be said for their world, possibly moreso - only subtly different.

So I was playing through some of the other events with non-Naomi or Lyriel girls, and it got me wondering, are we ever going to be able to spend the night with Lyriel like we do with Azraesha?

I'm not the Dev obviously but i'd say more than likely? last 2 versions have added Lyriel content and the story/game is still a work in progress
