Saving Monica is as simple as slightly altering her backstory: She was in love with the MC, but they weren't in a relationship. For some reason, her parents had to move to a city far away, and she had to go with them. The night before they left, she and the MC had sex, and she became pregnant. You can then justify why she never told the MC about it in various ways; the important thing is that she raised the child alone and only recently managed to contact the MC due to specific circumstances. The first thing she does is tell the MC about their child, and from there you can gradually develop a romantic relationship between them. And furthermore, that argument complies with his absurd rule.

That would work brilliantly and fall under my delete the husband point.

That's the easiest option, and it would work perfectly. In fact, I don't understand why the developer refuses to implement it, since it would eliminate most of the criticism. Personally, if I could keep Monica as a friend without any romantic and sexual implications, and avoid all the Azumi nonsense, the game would be pretty good. Except for the party scene, that would still be boring though.

My comments were intended to suggest ways to improve the characters and make them into LIs that would appeal to a wider audience. Right now, neither Monica nor Azumi can be salvaged as LIs. I don't need to wait and see how their story develops in future updates to know this, because that would require changing what has already happened, and unless the game has a secret time-travel plot, the past is going to stay the same.

Yeah, that would work, but that would circle us back to my prior post of throwing away the first 3 chapters, because if you say no to both of them, nothing of value happens in those 3 chapters.

I haven't gotten to play the third chapter yet, but of the first two, all that would really be left are a couple of scenes and one awful party.

There’s no need to address your point about patience, because as others have said, there’s no way the dev can salvage any of the characters as they are now, no matter what he does with them later one. The max amount this dev has earned in a full year of working on the game is $12/month and 7 patrons, and we’re already on Chapter 3. That’s a clear indicator that not enough people have liked what’s in the game. New players who join later will still have to go through these three initial chapters, and not many will stick around afterward, because they’re that bad, and there are indeed many other games to play instead.

I don’t really know if changing things at this point would even help, since its not a new game. But unless the dev sees this purely as a hobby and has no intention of making any money, I can only see this ending with an “abandoned” tag before we even get a single relevant scene with the actual LIs, who, I assume would have to be either elementary or middle school girls, or nuns, if we want things to remain both realistic and consistent with the MC’s “rule.”

you can keep claiming people pointing out very glaring problems with the game are a minority or just immature and such, but aside from those people, I dont see anyone really talking about the game at all

Its great that you found the great and wide world of AVNs. I'm happy for you that you have the chance to find and play so many good games for the first time. You just waste your time in this thread, tho.

Not really, it's a lot of fun to write about what I see in the game. It's like watching a B-movie and commenting on how bad it is; you usually have a great time, in fact you enjoy it in a different way (but not in the way the creator intended, I guess).

I decided to see what the game was like, and honestly, it's even worse than I imagined.

At the point I've reached, the MC has agreed to Monica's despicable proposal, including finding a girlfriend for her husband... all just to have sex with her, because there's absolutely no romance involved. It would have been better to just make her a prostitute and have the MC hire her occasionally; while that would be just as bad, at least you avoid the pointless conversations, the drama and the embarrassment of having to find a girlfriend for her husband. Then there's the party where you're supposed to meet the potential boyfriend of the only single girl in the entire game, and the boyfriends of the girls who could have been LIs, but aren't anymore due to the stupid conditions the MC has set. At this rate, the MC's harem will consist of just him and his two hands, because we're going to run out of potential LIs. At this point, I'm not sure I want to keep skipping Monica's scenes (which, from what I've seen, make up at least half of the game, which, for someone who isn't a LI, I consider way too much). The truth is, I'm not very motivated to see what happens at the party.

I hope the master plan includes the option to tell the ex-girlfriend, who won't leave her husband, to fuck off and do the same with Azumi, because once she accepts the MC's plan, I don't want to have anything more to do with her.

On the other hand, after seeing the MC's plan for Azumi, I've decided this MC doesn't deserve an ounce of respect since I'm not keen on playing jerks. It would be nice to see how you solve this (though I see little chance of achieving it), because the only real solution would be to allow us to choose an option where the MC isn't a jerk.

Regarding Monica, there's no solution, and it would be nice if you let us break up with her (being able to choose, since, you know, this is a game). In fact, it would have been better to allow it from the start. It's not necessary to kick her out of the game; simply being able to avoid the sexual (and not romantic) relationship would be enough.
