Next update's not coming for a while. Just gonna keep working as much as I can and get as many updates out as I can this year. Hoping for the best.
Not to bring real world logic to the porn VN world, but where are the sprinklers? There's virtually nowhere in the western world that building codes, for that type of building, don't require fire suppression sprinkler systems which are inspected on a regular basis. I could also mention that for the fire to get that intense that quickly it didn't start in a closet.I cant imagine the business dude buying up all of the commercial real estate is directly behind the bomb/fire. It would be far too much of a risk (prison sentence for arson) for far too little gain, considering he already has the means to pose a threat by simply outspending his competition.
Now, i can see some over eager lackey, like the douche that accompanies Riley, going off script and trying to curry favor, being all like, "see what i did boss? I went above and beyond to get you what you wanted!"
But, if I had to guess without any other evidence, id say it was the stupid shit from the dance competition. Petty, insecure, sore loser, got publicly humiliated, he has all the hallmarks of motive and personality to do something like that.
Hell, he could have been the person in the bear, giving him access to the place without anyone suspicious of him being seen there.
You do raise a good points about technical know how and the sprinklers and such, but most of that i can hand wave with "it's a renpy porn game. Suspension of disbelief is already set to max".Not to bring real world logic to the porn VN world, but where are the sprinklers? So if you want to consider the event from a real world perspective, someone, who was unconcerned about it being identified as arson, disabled the sprinkler system and professionally set the fire. This wasn't the work of an amateur arsonist. So probably not some random lackey or the moron from the dance competition.

Yes and no. The pink/green/blue choices seem to be pretty much for flavor, as do the red/yellow choices. The white choices can be more significant; for example, some white choices are whether to sleep with someone or not. But there aren't really any choices that completely alter the story or anything.Do choices matter in this game or they're just for flavor? For example, if I'm too much of a joker with a certain girl she'll hate it but will love a more "white knightly" personality.
Everything you said regarding Erika scouting the best matchups is true, and i pointed out the "until recently", which means the last few weeks working with Cap. But that's only 3 weeks or so.You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
But as you yourself agreed, she's been scouting for the best matchups. IF she has any flexibility in assigning fights — yes, that's a big "if" — she's not going to dump the MC into directly going against the best fighter there. There also will be a certain degree of luck to things. Depending on what system they use for competing, the actual #1 and #2 fighters (by skill level) could always face each other very early on. If they use a standard sports bracketing system, probably not, but who knows what they use? They could always pick balls out of a jar or something.Everything you said regarding Erika scouting the best matchups is true, and i pointed out the "until recently", which means the last few weeks working with Cap. The previous 3 *years* have been him essentially shadowboxing alone with no one ever pointing out any mistakes in form or technique. So realistically, Cap probably spent those first 3 weeks trying to undo all of the bad habits he has developed over 3 years without any actual coaching.
And while shadowboxing (with good technique) is an important training tool, sure, i dont recall him ever doing any bag work during those first 3 years. Big difference hitting air and hitting a bag, making sure ol' one punch man isnt hitting at a bad angles and end up breaking his own hands, rolling his wrists, and all of the other unexpected things that can happen when someone isnt experienced at actually *hitting* things.
And he damn sure hasnt been sparring those last 3 years. Which means reading opponents, gauging distance, working off angles, knowing when to conserve energy and when to empty the gas tank, etc. None of that.
So he's basically a guy that is in decent shape that's been doing calisthenics and has ~3 weeks of boxing training.
The dev has told us that the pink/green/blue choices are for flavor and have no impact on the reactions from the LIs.Do choices matter in this game or they're just for flavor? Erika was definitely doing her part scouting, no doubt, but her goal was two fold 1) getting him easy fights for easy wins, sure, but more importantly, 2) getting the best odds to maximize the bet payoffs. Erika always has her eye on the prize: getting paid. But as you yourself agreed, she's been scouting for the best matchups. From what's been shown so far, the MC seems to be an extremely quick learner generally. Depending on his natural talent level, it's conceivable that he corrects flaws very quickly and doesn't need a lot of handholding. If Cap doesn't have to spend too much time fixing problems — because the MC corrects them immediately and doesn't make the mistakes again — there would be a decent amount of time learning new things instead of focusing so much on errors. And during the first experience seeing the MC demonstrate his fighting, Cap seemed to feel like the MC had potential. That says that at least some things the MC did were in the ballpark of correct. (That doesn't mean they don't need work, even a lot of it, of course.)
And again, we're assuming that every episode is a week. That seems right, but if we're wrong, there could be even more practice time under the MC's belt. Either way, it's not like the competition is the day after seeing the fighters, so there's still time. Erika even made it sound like he'll have sufficient time to practice with Cap.
These are great!Fan sigs
