I'm really confused with this "Marilyn's spell"? I'm on the path where "Chloe isn't my GF" and as far as I can remember Marilyn did not apply any spell to MC (Us), Chloe, and even Nicole.

I'm curious about this spell and the 'Chloe is Strange path'. Correct me if I'm wrong because I haven't played this path but from reading from previous posts in this thread in this path wasn't Marilyn's spell intention for Nicole to fall in love with her but instead backfired to Chloe falling in love with Beeman?

For that reason Marilyn suddenly appeared in that wet dream of MC where Nicole was giving him a handjob.

Since that morning scene on Day 4 is an inevitable event that happens in every possible route of the game, my theory is that Marilyn performed that spell in every route of the game with the intention of causing Nicole to progressively fall in love with MC.

However, we only know about the spell because in the Chloe Is Strange route, MC doubted Chloe's strange behavior with both himself and Beeman from the afternoon of Day 10, later confirmed because MC found a magic circle under Chloe's bed when he was looking for his cell phone after the sex he had with Nicole during the afternoon of Day 13 (after this discovery, he immediately goes to Marilyn's house so that she can confess everything to him).

Considering that in the other two main routes of the game (Chloe is still MC's girlfriend, and Chloe is no longer MC's girlfriend), MC has had any reason to look under Chloe's bed and neither he nor Marilyn see anything too strange in Chloe's behavior, there is no reason for him to suspect any magic tricks on Marilyn's part, nor for Marilyn to suspect that her spell might have gone wrong, since in all possible routes Nicole Heavens is effectively progressively falling in love with MC, and in the route where Chloe is no longer MC's girlfriend but isn't strange, MC doesn't bother to watch Chloe anymore because he's completely given up on trying to revive that relationship (furthermore, in that route it is easy to justify the new relationship between Chloe and Beeman given the obvious abandonment suffered by Chloe because her boyfriend preferred to be with her mom in every sense).

The thing that gets me is that there really seems to be no end in sight in bringing John down and after 14 Chapters we have made little progress on that front it seems no matter how many steps the MC takes forward in taking John down there is 20 steps back. I really can't wait to put him in his place BUT how can you take down someone who is always 5 steps ahead and impossible to even rattle?

The story needs challenges or even obstacles to be good. MC (Us) can't always have things or people be handed to MC (Us) like a silver platter. Her strength does matter in the story because MC's (Our) mom could potentially be the first woman to say no to John with his sexual intentions while the rest have been saying, "yes" to John.

If you're asking me Dev Orb did a fantastic job with this ending because we're talking about it. I've never seen this level of engagement since a majority of users here thought Nicole had sex with John after Parts 11 and 12. If this was Dev Orb's true intention then he has done a terrific job.

I don't know what Dev Orb has in store for us in the next update but I can't wait!

It already happened with Beeman and his superman like resiliance, or the main character who was dumb enough to go up against someone with a gun a second time even though he already knew what he's like, without any sort of plan beforehand. The MC shows pretty much zero brains for a while now, so we should believe that the dumbfuck kid just goes up against the super genius evil, and still wins, without the story looking dumb. Sure.

I think I made a mistake explaining my theory, which is that this spell has been practiced in all the routes, but that doesn't mean that Nicole is the one affected, but that Chloe is the one who is really affected. Keep in mind that each of the major routes I mention is not based on the number of Nicole corruption points but on the type of relationship between MC and Chloe:

• In the route where Chloe is still MC's girlfriend, the spell affects Chloe causing her to discard any trace of MC hiding something from her or cheating on her with someone else. As Nicole is actually falling progressively in love with MC, Marilyn would think that her spell has worked, but it has actually affected Chloe. Another indication of this is that even if the player chooses to have MC break up with Chloe during the Senior Blank Night of Day 21, she accepts it so calmly, so much so that despite all this she wants him to accompany her to her room so she can sleep peacefully. Furthermore, the fact that MC doesn't spend much time with her because of his secret affair with Nicole causes the spell to not be as strong as in the routes where Chloe has her secret relationship with Beeman.
• In the route where Chloe is no longer MC's girlfriend but she isn't strange, at least to MC, the spell affects Chloe causing her to accentuate her relationship with Beeman to the point of becoming an affair, but as MC has already given up any attempt to fix it, they will break up by Day 7 and he will not see anything strange when comparing her behaviors with both himself and Beeman. As Nicole is actually falling progressively in love with MC, Marilyn would believe that her spell has worked, but it has actually affected Chloe. Marilyn might believe that Chloe's affair with Beeman is a form of revenge against MC, knowing the obvious enmity between the two.

As for MC (Us) going against Beeman without a plan, it sort of makes sense if we're in the POV of MC (Us). Let me explain, it's a spur-of-the-moment, Chloe suddenly disappears on graduation day and everyone is in a panic while the only person who is calm and has a plan is John. MC (Us) is (I'm guessing his age here) 18 and can only rely on instinct and emotions in his rescue plan for Chloe. Remember in any route we're in (Chloe is MC (Us) GF, Not GF & Strange) MC (Us) cares for Chloe because Nicole loves and cares for her firstborn child, and let's not forget MC (Us) has a score to settle with Beeman. Keep in mind MC (Us) left the school with Marilyn after hearing John say the same words he (we) said to Nicole in the hallway but got different responses. So MC (Our) plan wasn't smart and even not a plan. He (we) decided to go because it was a spur-of-the-moment and based everything on his (our) emotions and instincts. We have three responses: Fight, flight, and freezing. MC (Us) knows where Beeman is and his (our) response is the first response to action and that is FIGHT.

Nicole would have recriminated him for that "abandonment", probably with a crying episode similar to the one Chloe had on the route where she continues to be MC's faithful girlfriend, after believing that she was about to surprise her boyfriend with his mother in the middle of their prom.

This hypothetical hysterical episode could be justified by MC or Nicole herself based on the hormonal imbalance during pregnancy.

And if she managed to get close to Nicole through MC, an old friend with whom she recently rekindled a friendship, it would be like killing two birds with one stone.

As for her true goal behind it, many of us can focus on Marilyn's lesbian fixation on Nicole, but perhaps there are still hidden motivations for such actions: perhaps Marilyn's family was previously affected by John's machinations and this is her way to take revenge? After all, Marilyn's mother and grandmother have been heard from, but we have not seen any of them nor do we know anything about her father.

In this regard, I remember reading a theory a long time ago where it was mentioned that perhaps John had the same psychic powers as Marilyn, which is why it is so easy for him to manipulate so many people, whether for business or for his dirty affairs with married women, coerced into it. Perhaps that is why John has no fear that one of them will betray him. And imagine if John Heavens was Marilyn's biological father...

We only know that John banned him from Magic Grand and that he was busy with things, but those things were not trying to contact Silvia nor were they contacting or visiting Marilyn and Chloe. And apparently it wasn't anything about Hal and Jenny's secrets either, because they are revealed to him in front of John at the end of Part 14.

Eh the 14 chapters were alright, didn't understand much of Marilyn as a character kinda the frustrating friend that you barely get and if you are lucky helps you sometimes all while being a true pain in the ass, Marilyn has her own agenda and still cares for the MC she adds to the drama but certainly annoying at times.

The story captured me more than the character's looks like Nicole's body is luscious yet her face doesn't get me at all(Nicole is really tragic in par to some extent with Abigail), Chloe is a really average lass pretty boring with her only saving grace is her being a nice plot hook, the MC's parents were a surprise as few VN dare featuring both parents yeah they are nice naive people that will likely go through some tragedy towards the finale given how much they trust John.

Mr Beeman was a horrendous character sneaking in some gender violence? Losing to that fat thug the first time was really sad with poor Abi getting a beating from that, was not a fan of the whole storyline yes it is an everyday tragedy but eh a route that I didn't expect and killed all my lust. Don't get me started in the Chloe-Beeman route that one can go straight to the Seven hells.

This MC suffers at every time from dealing with friends like Marilyn to absolute bastards, John and his abuses are getting over the top and getting the MC's mother involved certainly hasn't won the developer any fans. The story needs to end soon cause the direction it is taken is a sour one and it smells of a different genre.

I agree. I really don't want the thing I said to happen. I for one imagine myself as the MC every time I play the game. And the relationship that MC (Us) has with Nicole is very romantic and cute. Indeed, all of Dev Orb's effort into developing MC (Us) and Nicole's love story would be put to waste if Nicole's love for MC (Us) was all because of a spell.

The theory about Marilyn being John's daughter and Chloe's half-sister is a very interesting plot twist. And that does add more layers on why she applied that spell to us and why she wants to get close to the Heavens. A Secret Revenge Agenda for Marilyn.

I hope we discover more evidence about the true intentions of her spell in the next update.

When it was revealed to me that there was a four-day time skip in this update, I didn't mind it because I thought it was nothing. But now that you're trying to question it and have theories. I'm interested.

I'm going with your theory that MC (Us) was admitted to the hospital as well. Perhaps after waking up beside Nicole MC (Us) left her room for a sec and we collapsed in the hallway. So far, in the recent update, we haven't seen MC (Us) had another headache episode.

Another explanation I can think of why MC (Us) didn't visit Nicole in those four days was because he was secretly planning his next step against John or planning a backup plan against John.

I hope we find out why MC (Us) didn't visit Nicole in those four days when Part 15 comes out.

I'm going with your theory that MC (Us) was admitted to the hospital as well. Perhaps after waking up beside Nicole MC (Us) left her room for a sec and we collapsed in the hallway. So far, in the recent update, we haven't seen MC (Us) had another headache episode.

Another explanation I can think of why MC (Us) didn't visit Nicole in those four days was because he was secretly planning his next step against John or planning a backup plan against John.

I hope we find out why MC (Us) didn't visit Nicole in those four days when Part 15 comes out.
