Yes, I remember. I recall a lot of people had to reassure people here that this game wasn't abandoned, but on hold due to Dev Orb's personal circumstances at the time.

Hey everyone, OrbOrigin here. Better news! I finally got my hard drive back from the store, and they were only able to recover roughly at most 2/3 of it. It’s better than losing all of the data, so I'm happy with that. Upon giving the hard drive a closer look on my PC, it is difficult to tell what files I have and no longer don’t. Majority of them were older files, like from part 4-9, seems to be missing more. I am devastated that a good chunk of the latest part (Part 16) that I’ve been working on was unable to recover (I wasn’t able to recover this year’s Easter too and was hoping I can still upload them). Luckily there wasn’t as much to begin with, but I am still feeling a tad defeated because that was content leading up to the next update and that does put a lot of pressure as a creator to fight against time for you all. I’m unclear how to end this with a more positive note, but I will continue to pause the billing cycle from May while I do my best to catch up. I read all of you guys' comments from my last post and personal messages, and I honestly cannot thank you all for your support, kindness, and love. It assures that you will all be around but also worries me as I don’t want to disappoint you all at all. Truly, thank you for cheering me on. See you all soon.​

First of all, thank you so much for sharing this Orb post, Raminita.

In my opinion, I think we need to look at the glass half full instead of half empty: Orb has proven to be an honest dev with his fans and patrons (almost all devs in his personal situation would have taken advantage of the situation to milk them indiscriminately instead of pausing the billing cycle) and intends to continue his work until the end.

It looks like it will take us longer than originally expected to see Part 16, but I think we can be sure we'll see it in a few months.

I have a question... I remember playing this game a couple months ago with a wtmod and it had corruption and love points or something similar, but now it only has corruption points.
Does that means that there is only a corruption route now? and what is the difference between a low and high corruption route?
I don't mid spoilers.

There is a WT mod by Koga3 that also has a cheat mode (where you can change your points).

To answer your question, the game still has a love and corruption path, but it's only labeled as "Nicole Corruption" if you go up and higher, you get the corruption path with Nicole. If your corruption points are low or on the negatives, you are on the love path with Nicole.

What's the difference between the low and high corruption paths?

Low Corruption path: This is known as the love path with Nicole. MC (US) has a more romantic relationship with Nicole. You still have sex with her, but both characters prioritize love in the relationship.

High Corruption: This is known as the corruption path with Nicole. On this path, you awaken the deep lust for Nicole. You unlock exclusive sex scenes on this path. Basically, I would call this path "MC and Nicole can't take their hands off each other".

This game has never had Nicole's love points, only Nicole Corruption Points as one of the main metrics. If you have few points, the relationship between MC and Nicole will be more romantic. If you have many points, the main relationship will be more dominant and corrupted by the MC towards Nicole.

Others main metrics are Cumming Inside Nicole Points, Marilyn Relationship Points and Avoiding Chloe Points (The outcome of this last one along with some choices you've made throughout the first 6 days of the game will determine whether you're on the route where Chloe stays loyal to MC or if you are on one where she cheats on him with their History teacher).

Actually I think love path also has some exclusive sex scenes, corruption has several exclusive scenes in early chapters but there are some exclusive love scenes in recent chapters.

I can only speak of the Corruption path.

I can certainly imagine that there were differences between the Love and Corruption paths at the beginning. But as the story progressed, both paths became more similar, up to the current point, which is a romantic relationship, with all the trimmings. Especially since Nicole is pregnant in my case, even more so now.

What's puzzling me, though, is the topic Nicole brings up at camp. If the case arises that our MC has to choose between his mother and Nicole, Nicole practically begs him to always choose his mother. The mere fact that the Dev brings it up raises the fear that we could end up in this situation. I've had this scenario before in another VN, with very drastic consequences.

I'll wait and see if and what the Dev is planning.

You're both partly right. If I remember correctly, there are exclusive scenes that only happen when you're playing on a route with few Nicole corruption points. However, when this happens, it is usually in moments that undoubtedly lead to a sexual scene, modifying only the loving or dominant character of the scene in question. For example, I remember that the scene titled Deal 14 ocurrs in your route (what happens during the night of Day 18) if you have less than X amount of Nicole corruption points; otherwise, the scene titled Deal 15 in the game will happen during the night of Day 19.

On the other hand, the scenes exclusive to the route where you have a large amount of Nicole corruption points are not only located at the beginning of the game. For example, I remember that in Part 15 there is the possibility of accessing a great sex scene at the beginning of said part (either the night of Day 27 or the morning of Day 28) but it will only appear if you meet several requirements, to meet which you must have previously had a large amount of Nicole corruption points.

my guess is that corruption and love path kinda merged started off corrupting her but ended up loving her kinda thing. or donno my playthroughs end up that way. and i cant seem to initiate any intimacy between other girls other than flirting and not sure where the game story will go since the MC's mother is now in the clutches of the real corruption and Nicole would insist MC to abandon her and go for his mother despite loving him. maybe the unlikely allies would help with common enemy i donno since MC has now several such allies. and im guessing by the end of the whole story MC would have open relation with many woman but will stay with Nicole as his main partner and Nicole would be ok with that
