I also don't get it. For some reason we can keep being her bf but MC doesn't act like one at all, the path is absolutely forced. I understand Nicole is better bla bla bla but why not keep both (not saying there should be harem, but I can't understand why can't the MC love both women) The boyfriend path seem to exist only because reasons when the story clearly is more developed if he follow Nicole request to stop seeing her. Because, as you said, he sure like remind us how much better Nicole is.Ehhhh.... chemistry only looks better because Beeman actually reciprocates. Unlike our MC who reminds us how inferior Chole is to her mother, every 3 seconds she's on screen. Take a fraction of how we are with Nicole, apply it to Chloe, and voilà. We move closer to parity.
With that said, I do wonder why the route is even a thing. Maybe people complained or something. Because the dev goes out of his/her way. To have the MC remark on the inferiority of the daughter. every. single. time. like goddamn. I get it. Like it gives off a feeling of after thought and I didn't really wanna do this.
And Chloe does act more sexual with Beeman, just look at the sex scenes. With the MC it's like a uninterested guy being forced to fuck a nun, while she and Beeman don't hold back.
