Here's how to fix that error about im103 missing, on windows at least.
1. Download & extract
2. Open the folder you just extracted
3. Open command prompt
4. Type 'cd' followed by a space, then copy/paste the extracted folder's location, then hit enter to change directories
5. Drag the unpacker exe in to the command prompt
6. Press space
7. Drag the 'Data.xp3' file from the game's directory folder in to the command prompt
8. Press space
9. Create a new folder somewhere & name it 'extracted'
10. Drag that folder in to the command prompt
11. Hit enter & wait for it to extract the contents.
12. In the extracted folder, go to the 'efevent' folder
13. Copy 'im101_0.jpg'
14. Paste & rename the image to 'im103.jpg'
15. Go back to the command prompt
16. Drag the xp3-packer.exe file in to the command prompt
17. Press space
18. Drag your 'extracted' folder in to the command prompt
19. Press space
20. type 'data.xp3' without the ' s and hit enter
21. Wait for it to finish, then drag the newly created data.xp3 file (in the folder where the xp3 exes are located) to the game directory, overwrite & replace when prompted
Game should now load the blank phone image we copied & allow you to bypass the error.
Edit: skipping through more of the game, there's another missing image error that pops up, this time with bg_201e. Process to fix that is the exact same as above, but I'd just copy & rename the bg_201c image. If you get any other missing image errors, all we can do is manually fix them until the translator fixes the patch.xp3 file, which has all the image calls in it.

I know about the solution but the main download should be fully functionable without having to do all that otherwise other people will start uploading broken stuff all the time.

Great and all. No idea where to find the unpacker exe. I see on github it says some stuff about it but i don't really get it. Same with packer.exe
