Sure, the age and looks come into it, but it's not everything (as you detail well enough in your reply). More than that though, it's his actions added in to everything that make no sense for me. I don't know if he put cameras in the room, though knowing what he is like, it would be pretty stupid of him not to, to be honest. I don't think photos like that would be enough to hold over her though, because it would be too dangerous for him to let her know he has them.
