I believe it's mostly men who write these games, and that’s why lesbianism is often portrayed in the way you’re 'complaining' about. Many men tend to believe that a straight woman is more likely to engage in a lesbian relationship than to have an affair with another man, or perhaps they just wish that were the case.
Statistics suggest that women are generally more open to consuming both heterosexual and homosexual content, but in reality, they are more likely to pursue relationships with men rather than invest in a lesbian relationship. Almost every male-protagonist and female-protagonist game has a well-developed focus on lesbian content, but the same enthusiasm is not found for gay content.
Now, if the reason most developers include lesbian content is 'to match mainstream media's wokeness,' as some users claim, then who's going to do justice to the gay community?
