It's supposed to be some random dudes introduced 5 years ago or more (truly). Thoigh, some have speculated that she may blow her son in the next update. I doubt it.

I also give devs some leeway as burnout and other things in life happen. For me the issue is when it's ALWAYS happening. That's just a sign of laziness and dishonesty. I don't think Palmer is there yet but is sliding that way a bit it seems.

Finally, yes, I think these devs also take side projects for lump sums. IIRC, Dots and L&P have admitted to doing it in the past. Mostly, I think it's just human nature of getting free money while being anonymous and not ever having to prove that you're working.

About 20% of his loyal month to month supporters have left. Don't think too many are impressed by what's going on and that its taking 6 months or more. When a dev blames Trump, multiple holidays, burnout (even though he's had multiple holidays lol), family, hurricanes, renpy, sslovoe and their artist all over one small update... Then you know its complete doo doo lol. Look for this update to have a lot of meaningless writing, like over explaining, constant internal thoughts etc, to pad the runtime.

That's to cover up his actual absent of commitment, so he produce an impression of "commitment" while what really is the absent of commitment.

I mean the game is suppose to be finish already, it was 2% weeks ago, why it's still not release yet?

It's not a rocket science to figure out what's actually going on: he gasses out of motivation to work yet he needs to justify the 4000$+ monthly income, so what he needs to do is to appears "working" and "committed" when he's not, hence why the unnatural over-explanation and commentary, that's a way to cover the stench of his own shit that's he's making.

That's the telltale sign when a dev has hit lazy, free money milk mode.

When it's always something...it's nothing. Again, I get a setback here and there. Things break, burnout is real, etc.
When it becomes something ALWAYS, all the time, every update...that's when it's a problem.

This dev is slowly reaching that "it's a pattern" level so I hope he pulls put of it or many more will take off. For myself? I'll just ignore it and at most mock it when I have time. It's how I treat others that have done this. I'm just one guy but I won't let someone hijack my brain because I wanna see a 3D character.fuck, lol. It can never be that serious for me. I'll sooner tap entirely before becoming a blind supporter accepting BS excuses.

Palmer isn't there yet for me but it's close. I hope he gets back to how he was early on.

I've seen it escalate for over a year now with longer update times and more excuses. What a shame so many devs do the same thing. Thats what happens when devs have no consequences for delaying or just taking their time. They spread out the work load so they get double the money from doing the work slower.

I seem to support the devs that start out good and do the hard work early. Then they get comfortable not working that hard and end up exploiting their supporters. Recently its easier to tell when they start to fall into that lazy mode and the excuses form.

Your brain sure want to see the continuation of the discontinue scenes, unless there's some sort of a closure peoples will suffer some kind of fixation, hence the simpings, and it's good if you can have perspective and self-control to disregard it as something silly, and it's actually something silly, so silly.
