Trust me broAnd your source is?
Trust me broAnd your source is?
I am assuming that. He generally goes MIA before the update so m expecting announcement. And your source is?
This is how burnout happens. Four routes in a single scene isn't being "meticulous", it's a disastrous use of resources.Mr. Palmer
Artist is already working on next update. He’s not the holdup. I’m still working through a big scene. There are four different scenarios so I’m having to write it four ways. But this is why you love the story… I’m being very meticulous, trying to make it thorough and real. There’s less of Anna’s thoughts this update since we know her so well, but there’s still a lot of dialogue. The update isn’t ready yet.
At least one good news is that artist is already working on next update...This is how burnout happens. Four routes in a single scene isn't being "meticulous", it's a disastrous use of resources.
probably 3 more months guys,we need more patience...Mr. Palmer

I was having this exact conversation with someone on discord. I agree, if this is a critical event then I can wrap my brain around it. But he can’t start doing this regularly. And if it is such an important event then he would make his life easier by communicating that to his patrons._________________________________________++++++++++++++++______________________________________
Well this maybe a unique special situation if it's critical to game's plot lines. Most games, including this one, tend to be lineal in flow of the direction of the plots. Up to this point a player basically had three options, taking the faithful path, accept all actions, or rejecting others. Don't like Marvin then basically reject him and whatever event was behind the choice doesn't happen.
Now where it would be potentially disastrous is if Mr. Palmer does down L&P's (AWAM) rabbit hole. Meaning each and EVERY event opens several more paths and routs and 8 years later the game has move as much as a snail on winning 100-yard dash.
Let's assume Mr. Palmer forks the story/plot 4 directions but are interconnected in some way that would work. Then future updates can pivot back and fourth. But the disaster would be having to script four distinct separate paths each update which could lead to even more (AWAM problem).
There really is no way for me to know, but I suspect these four outcomes are David/Anna related. Just a gut feeling. Mr. Palmer wouldn't need 4 different outcomes with any of the antagonist because he could just stick to the current formula of accept or reject. But if (x) happens, then how it unfolds may have a, b, c, or d outcomes with David and Anna's relationship. Just thinking option (a) maybe the marriage has hope while option (d) might have Anna having one foot out the door when it comes to the marriage.
The only other possibilities I see are Anna only outcomes that evolves her character
now it would be if you reject one of the antagonists, and according to mr. palmer's own words, he will continue to insist, surrender or continue, appearing in the story but with nothing in relevance, but this with those who are not involved with the scene of David's alleged infidelity, that is, those who had the certainty of seeing the misunderstanding._________________________________________++++++++++++++++______________________________________

With all VNs you gotta keep it as simplified as possible to avoid burnout and a waste of time, IMO. This isn't to say there can be no choice at all but it's best to give the reader the illusion of choice for long-term paths. Have a yes/no decision and anything else be a choice that is just part of the yes/no you were doing. This is how burnout happens. Four routes in a single scene isn't being "meticulous", it's a disastrous use of resources.

I think this unpredictability is Mr. Palmer’s best trait. For example, in the last update, almost no one expected Chris and Ana’s dynamic to develop the way it did. Same goes for Jake’s storyline. Of course, some surprises are good and others not so much, but I still prefer to be surprised. My only requirement is that the story continues to be believable, as it has been so far. In his last post, he said he would keep the story grounded in reality, and I really hope that remains true—after all, I truly enjoy how this narrative and its characters are being developed______________________________________++++++++++++++++++________________________________________
Not wanting to challenge or correct you at each and every turn, but....
Mr. Palmer likes to fly in stealth mode and never really tips his hand to what is happening. I suppose all this secrecy works because I was so off footed and wrong based on what information I (we) had at the time... going back to the whole Timothy/Dale thing. I saw it as a tame scene with nothing to really consider just from the teasers... then came the update.
With all these surprises Mr. Palmer comes up with works until they don't or takes the story sideways. My guess of the 4-path possibility of it being an Anna/David event could be so wrong or so irrelevant as a squirrel fart in a hurricane. Suppose it's called "spit balling", but I'd love to know just who has had a better track record of guessing Mr. Palmers moves so I can just shut up and listen
cause everything is fake he finish work long time agoDamn why hasn't he at least clarified what's exactly left to do .. besides the big scene that he mentioned.. And even if the game intertwined with multiple paths it's just fuckin writing and if he already is used to it by now and knows how to do it well then he should lock in for one evening and finishes everything off and moves on to programming... My guess it's gonna be the end of April if not later.. hope the other scenes aren't very short with hank and tim/dale in the office..
