Actually, I am sure Jake will tell Anna that his gf rejected him when he proposed to her. His goal is to make Anna sad for him. More or less, this is the plot of the story.

Ok some character routes are more popular than other, but some players don't like the most popular paths...some even play the faithful path. Now... I'm on team Marvin (APM from my point of view could have been just a story about Marvin and Anna...LOL!). But I do believe even the least popular character ought to be give fair treatment. And who knows Mr. Palmer might have it as part of his plan that Anna has to fall for Chris or Jake first before the rest can have a go at her--it sounds dumb but who knows.
But... there are some players out there that want to see Anna get crushed for her behavior (dark endings). It just might be an ending where Anna falls in love with Jake...she dumps David... only to discover Jake was toying with her heart to get into her panties. Now honestly the last update does throw a wrench in my plans that Jake might seduce Anna into falling in love with him... otherwise why would he bother showing up to check on her?
For all I know it's a Romeo/Julette outcome for them... I've be so wrong and surprised before with Mr. Palmer's twists and turns, my guesses should be taken with a grain of salt

Jake never gets tease scene with Ana alone beside shopping mall ...I don't count it as a tease anyways whatever he did while shopping...and one kiss inside the car....it was more kind of exhibition. Idk why he's extending roles with Jake for so long in different paths as a friend, and to fuck her. He got more close to her in faithful path rather than in corrupt one.

You have to understand when the game first came out the devs specifically said that you can either have a faithful marriage or it could be destroyed by your choices that's why this game can have avoidable NTR that's why some people are trying to save the marriage

It is possible, Jake told Anna that he had proposed to his girlfriend for marriage, but she rejected him, so that Anna, out of sympathy, would do something for Jake, because Kendra had given the same advice to Marvin, that he should act helpless in front of Anna and stay like a poor soul.
