The new patch notes mentions special xmas shoots for "secretaries", but I can't find the option to do a shoot with Cherie's Helper, just talk to them, or with anyone else that looks secretary-like except for Amber... Does "secretaries" mean Amber here, or am I missing something?

Dumb question, but if I wanted to swap images/gifs of one pornstar with someone else, would it be as simple as replacing the images in the appropriate resource folder? I played whoremaster and have a decent library of images to use. I just really don't like seeing Riley Reid. She was proud about raping a guy and I just don't want to see her, but she is in almost every game with real porn. This applies to mostly HTML and Renpy games.

It should pretty much be as straightforward as that, yes. To avoid issues, it might be best if your replacements have roughly the same dimensions as the original images.

Secretaries are Amber, Stella and Valentina, you can only have one active in each save, at least for now.

I played with the newest version of the game, using an old save from the previous version. When I went in to do the Special shoots of the specific girls that have Xmas shoots, none of them had a button to do it, just the work "Xmas" off to the left side of the screen. Also, with the Xmas shoot with Stella, there is a button there, red, but when I click on it nothing happens. I also didn't see any Xmas shoots for the secretaries.

Far too big of a gap from running your studio and massage parlor to the next phase. That 250k or whatever it is is a gigantic hurdle you have to endlessly grind rinse and repeat porn shoots in advance to generate enough cash to possibly pay back in the TINY amount of time given. From a pacing perspective this stage of the game feels terribly off.

It felt okay until you ran out of events that extended the deadline

One thing you can do is make sure you've trained all the models that you can introduced to the owner beforehand, and every photo-shoot you do should be on the owner herself, to unlock the pornography option as quickly as possible (since it pays more and since she's always available)

You don't really need 250K. If you focus on the tasks from Cherie and only do photoshoots of her and her girls for the 3-4 weeks it lasts, you only need around 30-40K.
A good tip, before doing a task for Cherie, check the shots, the extra days you can get from the bonuses is really worth it. My personal best is below 10K, but that does require some effort and a bit of luck.
So no need to grind out 250K, that would be grindy. 50K is usually enough, which should be easily doable when you get to meet Cherie

There is a complete of how to unlock all girls on the games official discord. As for the special stuff, some of those require an 'upgrade' you can buy after having paid Cherie.
For the Cherie part, have at least 50K when you start it, and focus on shoots of her girls and her task exclusive for, and keep track of how many days you have left. Pay the remaining amount when you have 1 day left.
