It's not hyped like the original APBLU. And I agree with you it's much worse than the original. IIRC HC said before starting this that he don't know how to corrupt a character like Aya, I think he got forced into making it. The original at-least tried to explain things and like others games like this (Turning the page, Exploring Big Apple, Corrupted Hearts) tried to be an Mystery NTR but failed specially in later chapters. And for whatever reason most western NTR goes into hard humiliation in the end, I have seen it explecitly in western erotic stories and games. I think NTR in itself is a love/lust triangle story, and these stories are good because of the drama, struggle and tension. I tried to read some Hotwife stories from Amazon but the good ones (according to fans) are all about how MMC came to accept or defeated into the cuckold lifestyle and the wives are like "one fuck to rule them all", then through the whole story just tries to tell MMC he just isn't understanding her, she just loves him more or it's just different (like he is her red love and bull is blue love). I think it's not storytelling just rage baiting like those AI youtube stories.

I recently read a corruption story in literotica but after reading few chapters I knew it's going in cuck genre but still kept reading cause The couple was communicative and fun and smart. . The premise was simple the wife start flirting in bar and they started wife sharing fantasy in a light fun way. and then the wife fucked the bull in bar toilet but later chapter it's revealed wife is infatuated with bull and bull learns hubby was listening the whole time uses this info to gaslight them into 3some twice but later manages to manipulate them into cuckold roleplay. I commented on the chapter of FMC Pov where she is showing infatuation with the bull and the Author replies that it has 3 arc first 2 would be their downfall and last where they takes control, so I kept reading. But when the FMC Pov of the cuckold play is presented and the later 3 chapters the story to me kind of feels doesn't connect the dots anymore. They are gaslighted to not communicate properly.... OK I mean wtf he is not living with them. Slowly through the 18 chapters FMC is manipulated to cheat on hubby in glorywhole with 5 other man including the bull who did everything to her except penetrative sex. She hides it from MMC. and then just in 1 chapter the hubby also cheat with a stripper with full penetrative sex cause the bull says come on don't be a pussy ..... Again WTF he was like a dumb 14 year old teen on that chapter (lots of cuckold/hotwife stories has this where the MMC cheats for no apparent reason before or after her downfall starts, I think it's there to justify her action). Then the last chapter I read is when FMC went to visit Bull alone cause she promised and thinks she won't cheat (she knows she is cheating but not acknowledging it) but expecting he will force her. So within maybe half hour she is in her knees and sucking his cock while saying she came here expecting it and sometimes in the cuck roleplay she wasn't pretending, she likes to be submissive to him and dominant and cruel to the hubby.... And I stopped reading the series. Why such a long rant, cause the writing was good, there was drama and struggle at first and the Author promised it's going to be different but in the end it goes into the same cuckold/humiliation hotwife sector. Like me there was lot of casual readers who were there for the story not the kink and enjoying it but all got angry in later chapters.
A good story can go beyond genre. Check some shonen anime, yeah people are there for the action/animation but it's the story that keeps it running.
