Yeah, not sure i won't crack before the end of the month and beg xD, last time we got it a day after the 10 or 5$ tier i think, hopefully it will be like that, or even sooner for all as a gift to reaching the firts goal.....
out of curiosity, will a x.0.0 patch be bigger than a x.5.0 patch? or did you just choose to make your updates in 0.5 parts?
Just chose to call it that. 20k~ words updates are pretty much my maximum output since my releases are monthly.
So are these next few updates only going to be focusing on Laura? Or will we see some Aya action sooner rather than later?

I think he wants to finish Laura first, and that will take around 8 months to finish. Then Aya route will be done. That doesn't mean Laura will be the only one in the action tho, just the "main" character in that route

Game must be getting more popular since the next goal is almost reached, i hope that happens fast sinc ei think that means faster updates, or at least bigger in the same amount of time wich means the games will be done faster xD

The creator deserves more support and I hope more people gives it. But i think the large current support may be temporary hype. I do not expect changes right away. Of course I would gladly be wrong and we get an 50k word update next time.

50k is unrealistic unless there is less CGs, maybe 1 or 2 updates that are more story focused or re use CGs could be close to that but even witht he next goal what he promises is steady 20k releases with more CGs, maybe 30k who knows? Point is that we have to remain realistics

50K was an exaggeration but a welcome surprise if it ever happens. Point was no one should be expecting changes right away.
It really is incredible how HangoverCats Patreon skyrocketed. And I am really glad that so many peopl here support him and his work. It is well deserved, HangoverCat puts a lot of thoughts and resources inside of the game. You may as well observe that when the next update is out: There we already have the CGs of two artist (the following update in february/march will have cgs of three artists). Also a full gallery has been implemented and a new very nice new phone feature for all of the old and the new content was integrated as well. Also hangover cat even polished parts of the game that lie behind- make a new playthrough and you will see that some new cgs have been added throughout. Also HangoverCat listens to feedback - one of the more essntial trademarks of good developers.
Still I think the same as Animefan_09. We need to give Hangover Cat some time to adjust to this new hype and also to see whether this is not a one time thing but actually stable and fit for the long run and whether it continusely rises and even reaches the next goals. But then I am sure that hangovercat will stay absolutely true to his words and act accordingly.
Really, together with Onedge and N_taii we got some of the best NTR game developers around that ever existed in the "west" (non-japanese devs). What a magical trio. Fine, juicy times we live in!!
Is is important to not over commit, given how major the next goal HC should take his time with taking it. I would suggest waiting till it's average or even minimum support level over several months. Meanwhile built up a budget that can be used as buffer in case of unexpected events or needs.
As for patch size i think HC doesn't want to just increase word count but have it come with more scenes as well. Then building the scenes with movement and voices is certain to take a significant amount of time.

I was just wondering, will the older scenes that have already been added get updated with the new stuff as milestones are reached? Like will the existing scenes get some more artwork added or sound effects to further flesh out the scenes or will it only be for new scenes as they are made going forward? It would be really great if the existing content will get touched up as well as things move forward.

If it is, i would gladly start over a new game anytime. There's nothing better than hearing Laura's moans when Luca fucks her silly.
And how in "The Edge Of" the male main character is not going to commit suicide, kill the two girls and not the bully at the end or get out of this toxic environment, and just accept that he suffered bully and betrayal and life that follows? It's a shame that all your characters who are bullied and betrayed are such passives. I'd like to see one of these characters act differently than just accept the bad stuff as if he likes it.

well there will eb different endings in APBLU. So maybe this time, at least in one of the endings the protagonist may play a more active role... but I wouldnt know. Its just speculation.
Though I myself hope that the protagonist doesnt become that jealous, pathetic, weak, unlikeable and crazy as Sam (the protagonist of The Edge of) and Harry (the protagonist of APBLU) rather stays oblivious for most of the time with him beeing not too much of a rather unrealistic weakling and then we have different endings where Harry e.g. finds out about the whole thing and gets very angry and starts to either fight with Luca or to retreat into isolation, or where Laura ends the relationship with harry herself and he stays oblivious a little longer and wonders what happened (though he might realize that Laura and Luca have something going on and Laura is acting very slutty towards Luca, maybe after they broke up, he catches them fucking in the office). There are so many possibilities to maintain Harry as a somewhat okish, a bit stronger and likeable personailty, these are just a few...
tl; dr; What I especially like in APBLU is that Harry (opposite to Sam in The edge of) until now really isnt a purely jealous weakling and that its rather bad cummunication with Laura, misunderstandings and Luca's manipulation that lead to lauras corruption and infidelity rather then his weakness. He stays of course somewhat oblivious and naive but that is far more likeable then the crazy, all time jealous and selfdestructing nature of Sam
