I get a lot more enjoyment out of these stories when multiple paths exist, where "How could someone make ALL the wrong choices!?!" is just one of several paths. I recognize that it's dysfunctional to become too emotionally invested in fictional characters (YMMV) despite sometimes doing so, but I prefer when there's an excuse to say, "Well, that's not actually what happened."
This story struck a deep, emotional chord with me based on the titular premise. I delayed proposing to my wife (spoiler for how it all worked out in the end) until I felt more established and secure professionally, but it wound up causing problems and multiple arguments. Heck, I busted out the ring DURING an argument because I refused to risk any harm to our relationship. So seeing it play out tragically while ALSO in an erotically enjoyable format would give me some harsh anxiety.

Hopefully, the endings will all feel compelling and make enough sense logistically. Preferably not like some of the "Alansya Chronicles ~ Fleeting Iris" endings (though I got a huge kick out of the Hero Ending from that game's NTR path).
