Small game engine jank: drag the corner of the program screen and resize it yourself. Try to keep the aspect ratio or it'll stretch weirdly. Alternatively reduce your monitor resolution for the duration of your play session. Either is fine and it's not bad either way.

Finished the game. It's cute.
When you get the black screen bug/crash on stage 7-7, just keep rebooting the game until you get fed up, then start changing the screensize with 1, and then eventually one of the times it'll actually load what it's supposed to. The solution might have been dying so there was a cutscene for it to load. Once it loads the stage restart correctly once, it won't break there again. That's what I did, at least.
