I didnt even notice the change until you pointed it out later because i focused on the weird "overlay effect" in the edit. Honestly tho i wish chest was more on the medium size than the current large (which seems to fluctuate and get even larger randomly?). Still, the art by Niliu is always good.

I checked on the save editor and i can't find the right variables to change. I saw someone say it was variables 15 and 18 but they don't exist. Yes i even made a heart appeared and got 1 for each but i can't change them cause they don't show. am i doing something wrong? I am using the latest version too.

What save editor did you use? The vars should exist and update the in games values.

If you still cant use the save editor, open the dev console with F12 and use this command to edit the variables:

$gameVariables.setValue(varNum, value);

The varNum is the ID of the variable (15 for red hearts and 18 for purple hearts) and the value is, well, the value you want to assign. You should only add a max of 7 for each, as that is the max in game.

something tells me that I have some kind of magic computer... I see so many versions in the changelog about the next repair of compatibility of saves, and with each update all my saves are replaced with the first day with 0% progress... and using other people's saves does not help at all because after loading them, they also become first day saves with 0% progress... maybe someone knows what the problem is? Has anyone encountered this?
I have almost completely lost the desire to play... every update starting from the very beginning is a real pain in the ass...

it looks very much like your game doesn't have the rights to write anything to the disk at all, because saves worked with versions of the game 10 lower. That is, with 0.65 saves worked quite well, although not perfectly.

Check that the "read-only" attribute is removed from all folders with the game and the "save" folder in particular

no, "read-only" is not enabled.. and it does not prevent the game from overwriting any save with the save from the beginning of the game... I already suspect that I have an unlikely compatibility problem that occurs with a unique hardware configuration

the "symptoms" you describe are a problem at the operating system level, not drivers or hardware.

You can also assume that viruses are at work...

You'd better ask the developers for more details. Personally, I don't even have any ideas what could cause such "behavior".

In general, do you "install/copy" a new version over an old one?
Or do you "install/copy" into a separate new folder, and then copy the old "saves" folder into the new folder?

In new versions, the saves folder should be "empty". Otherwise such actions will also break the "system part" of the saves with "separate saves" and after such actions of the user all saves may "break".
