No, if you cheat, imouto will call you 'zako' followed by NPC's taunting you and having to do extra tedious shit to get what you need. Its retarded, the game just throws you in without any sort of direction and they instantly expect you to master the mechanics. Shit dev.
the only consequences i've experienced is with adding weapons and armors....it causes game breaking errors. adding items and gold is fine though. Oh and you can cheat your hp to 999 and boost your attack power to whatever you want BUT most of your weapons will break in one hit so I guess thats another consequence. There is a legendary sword that can withstand some hits before it shatters with high AP.
