This was a POV game so I try to keep the view where the MCs head would be.
Renpy 8 was released a couple years ago, it's just the latest update that came out last month. Most devs don't change version mid-game but as more time goes on it's more likely that devs will use it.

Wow... a HUGE difference. Let me see my notes:
In 1983, I was 19. I was the best men at my Grand Father's marriage. I had 4 girlfriends that year, 2 were sisters. Met my French teacher in a Nudist beach, befriended her before we even knew she would be my teacher. Got really, really, really drunk at a party, spent 1 week throwing up. Wrote my first long story, by hand, on paper notebooks, 10 of them (years later all burn in a house fire). Learned how to braid bracelets, made dozens of them, got the girlfriends with them. Went from a long long long hair and beard, to almost no hair on a whim, used the occasion to troll my friends, it was hilarious. Had my first threesome, no, not the sisters, unfortunately, those girls ended up marrying each other years later. Had a HUGE crush on one of my friends girlfriend. She knew, nothing ever happened. Spent months sharing almost every cigarette with the same girl, we joked that it was like kissing, thing we never did, unfortunately. Played hours upon hours on my Spectrum 48K.
It was a cool year.

I would re-install, and check to make sure you installed the patch properly. I didn't have an issue and since it's kinetic everyone should experience it the same way besides the incest patch.

Not bad! is not often to see a game being released completed, so the people like me that had no idea about it could play it all in one go.
About the game, it has all you can expect for this kind of game, like a bad dad and a traumatic past, but I feel that it was well written, everything happen quite naturally, also the scenes are amazing! I think I only have two main complains:
A) The decision to make all the characters hot, even the granny boss, is weird considering there are only two love interests... maybe making some of them optional would have been good, but well, it was a kinetic novel.
B) The mom and the sister share a very similar haircut, it's confusing sometimes, I wisk sister had her alternate haircut as main one.

Or install latest Ren'Py 7 SDK and launch the game with it, but there is no guarantee it works without bug.
