Good evening,
it's already the first day of the new month and I'm still working on 0.5.7.5. At least I'm getting close to the release now, but there are a few things I'd like to add before releasing it.
First of all, I'm sorry that I wasn't able to finish it yesterday. I thought I might be able to finish it close to the deadline without excessive crunch for once, but that wasn't possible. I increased my daily workhours already since monday, but there are still some rough edges I have to polish.
But now to the review of the last week: I worked on a total of 8 animations + transitions. Whereby 2 of them are reworked versions of Kate's scenes with Toren & co (I reworked their character models and so a rework of their scenes and other images was necessary).
As already written, my goal is a working, error-free version. But some new content should be included, because just a proof of concept is no reason for a new release from my point of view. Which is why I'm currently working on some more dialog at the inn. I want to enable at least a bit of progression for this update before 0.5.8.0.
I have temporarily interrupted my work on the scene on the moving wagon that I started last week. It was simply too extensive (I will continue working on it after 0.5.7.5). Instead I put the focus on having a scene at the old boar inn with Kate & Claire.
It is important to try out new things, as this improves the possibilities for future content. But at some point a time slot is exhausted and I don't want to keep you waiting just because I'm trying out new things.
Ok, how much longer will it take now? I've finished the animations and their integration into the game. There are still some dialogs missing and I have to test the processes in the inn. As I said, I also want to add a little progression that will point to the story. I assume that I will need at least Monday after today. So in the best case I'll manage the release on Monday night, otherwise it will come in the course of Tuesday.
That's all for now, I'm now back to working.
