No, I think if the combat is going to be this perfunctory it should be tuned to take up a lot less time. Who in 2024 is enjoying smashing the attack button over and over dealing with random crits and misses?hmm are you expecting some PS5 live action combat? if so your playing the wrong type of game.... for that kind of combat your you need to looking into Unity or Unreal engine based games
I'm thankful for the late game mechanics that let you auto-skip easy fights with witchcraft or whatnot, but the level-appropriate fights stay shitty for the whole game.
Both this game and Peasant's Quest have decent worldbuilding trapped the shackles of this 1987-assed JRPG combat system. PQ at least gives you a cheat item that boosts stats by a bunch. This game offers the "Add Level" and "Add Talent Points" cheats but I'm scared to use them because the game already feels buggy enough without messing with any stats.
