RPGM - A Struggle with Sin [v0.5.9.7 Test] [Chyos]

It's fappable. The women are hot despite the chunky models and there's some damn nice context here and there.
Can't give it more than 3 stars. The writing is stiff, with little personality. Suffers the common problem of too much spread out content leading to unsatisfying individual characters.

Then there's the important warning:
The grind is real. It's not fucking worth it. Cheat as you wish, but always beware RPGM's clunkiness. There is no worthwhile gameplay here outside your choices and they take long enough to make without the added grind.

this game is a one of a kind. The story is well done ( I think by far this is one of the best ), the characters is great. Its really grindy but I enjoyed it as long as it lasts. The thing thats is lacking is the optimization. I hope the devs could do something about it ( I know its hard to optimized RPGM'S games ).

The best RPGM project I've ever seen. I've never seen such interactivity in games.
Game Benefits:

1. As I said, this is interactivity. You can go hunting, you can chop wood, you can kill robbers, ogres or anyone else, you can cook, build a house and so on (the list is long) And it will really pay off, for every action you take there is a quest in the game.
2. Ladies. There are sooo many of them. You can have relationships with the whole family (if you make the right choices)The list is huge Milfs, Gilfs, Nuns, half-orcs and so on.
3. Someone may not like the way the game is drawn, but I like it.
4. A fascinating plot,you start the game as a lazy guy, because of which his father dies during his Alcohol intoxication and other circumstances. After you are kicked out of the house and you have to get out of this situation, become stronger and help people.
5. The game is huge (Although it's not even finished yet)
   If you do not use cheats, I think you will play it 100+ hours
   But I will not say that there is a lot of grind, in any case, you can always use cheats.
6. A lot of skills available for pumping, which really affect your actions, hunting, lockpicking, combat, etc.

   I don't think you want to lose all your saves. If suddenly your computer shuts down, your main save will simply be deleted, as it happened to me, so save every time, in 2 different places. I think this is an engine problem, although I have not seen this in other projects.

Lots of planning went into this game. I'm still enjoying it. Can be replayed from various save points. Really good guide included. I have no more characters to add, so I'll continue a run sentence until it lets me complete my review about a game I liked.

The game lets you cheat your way into not grinding so much and there's even a walkthrough to get you through the story.
The scenes, context and style are quite hot most of the time.
Not 100% a polished experience but still decent for story, roleplay and fapps.

So much promise i Enjoyed A Struggle with Sin its been a a rough search for games that have a good story, lots of content, Exciting Quest, and a solid base for MC.

this game inspired me to figure out how to get a fan sign.

i didnt like the pass of time hunting mechanics and models
after little time it becomes boring to get up and do same thing without good purpose
while hunting pray often goes behind trees and we cant see it
MC really struggle at the beginning and there is little to no indications what we should be doing except for hunting and looking place to sleep
the amount of details is overwhelming

This is typically the type of a game that I'm afraid to miss, like when we watch the pictures and read the description of it, seems like another medieval / fantasy rpgm but absolutely not.

I played it for the NTR routes, and for a game where they are optional and not the main focus of the game, they are really good.
The most basic one must be the route with Kate, and it's actually pretty good, with various content between Thomas, Toren, etc I just regret that the pregnancy system ain't much developed yet, and the NTR route that goes with it, I was taking contraceptive and didn't had sex with her for a while, and yet when she was pregnant the MC just be like the contraceptive must not be efficient.

I'm impatient to follow Tia / Rumah Village in the next updates, once more developed it's ganna be my fave route I think, I mean it's pretty well developed in term of story, but not in term of H especially NTR, there is great potential, like sending more and more girls to the orc camp or even another Dasan route where he would keep the girls for himself instead of sharing with the whole village.
I also played other routes with NTR content that ain't as much developed like Mira, Natasha, Emily, Lyvia, but there is not much to say for now...

There is a lot of characters with their story and development for each one, and sometimes to meet / talk to one, you have to advance with another one so really great experience.


I don't know if it's because of my choices or something else, but I find that it lacks a bit of some fights, like yes the village has some guards but would be cool some events like orc raids where u have to defend, cause except when you go outside to train, or some "boss" fights during the story we don't have that much fights, and don't feel too much this civil war atmosphere in my opinion.

The graphics are ok, I like as much 3D as 2D, it ain't the best 3D we've seen but it does the job.

In conclusion really great game, with even greater potential, ganna follow the next updates really closely.

I'll start this by stating that I do not like 3DCG and I won't praise it in this game either. I often find it ugly and off-putting. Truthfully, there are scenes in this game that are comically ugly. The one that stuck out to me the most was Emily's blowjob scene where it looks like she is having a war flashback once you shoot your candle wax in her mouth.

In spite of that however.. I do like the gameplay. This game is quite long despite not being finished. So what is the gameplay? Mostly, it's a d20 skill check system alongside standard RPGmaker combat and survival mechanics. Nothing new, but it actually goes pretty far with it.
At the beginning, you are at the bottom of the barrel and it's a game of survival. You do not know anything but how to hunt (poorly). You can't cook for yourself and you can hardly even defend yourself. You will starve, you will be tired, and your lust will lock you from interactions if not kept in check. The best you can do is odd jobs everyday so you can eat a meal and sleep on the floor instead of starving outside in the hay. Maybe, MAYBE, you will get just a crumb of pussy some day, but other than that you're stuck jerking off or fucking a granny who drains your energy. Hardly anybody likes you nor cares about you.
However, you eventually become better at hunting, defending yourself, securing a place to sleep, getting a source of income, getting food, and getting seggs. You build yourself up until things such as lust, food, wealth, and shelter become non-issues.
You only go further up from there. Soon, you can sleep pretty much anywhere as you get access to pretty much all the women's beds. You'll forget the lust bar even existed. You'll have so much money you'll laugh when people are shocked at the mere mention of 20 gold. You become multi-faceted, as you learn how to be a thief, hunter, blacksmith, herbalist, carpenter, cook, spell caster, tribe leader, and mercenary leader. You start bumping shoulders with and fucking not just nobles, but gods and demons. You become a self-made man and it feels like you earned it since you started with nothing but a bow, a dull knife, and the clothes on your back.

That's why I give it 5 stars, and somehow, it kept its steam despite being so long. I'd like to see more.

Very good story line!
At last a game with plot and interesting characters. Your choices are affecting them and your main character has options. You can play 100 hours in different paths and the result of your decisions are forging your MC personality!

The game is so god damn big and long and full of options that its impossible to fullfill even half of its content potential without a walkthrough, and still not the walkthrough nor the quest guide will help you achieving it fully. There are scenes that you have to explore yourself. I wanted to start saying that.

Also the game is a game, so its kind of hard to play cause it will demand some amount of braincells from you.
If you are into the NTR there are a lot of situations where you are "punished" for failing, and for you as player its definintely an advatage. If you don't want the punishments you should work a lot harder to fulfill requests or to win those battles and avoid punishemnts. If you are one of those you will definitely need braincells and isolate yourself from the porn vibe.
There is a cheatbook that can lift a lot of weight off from your player shoulders, otherwise you will have to probably grind levels and even play smart, like any challenging game out there, as I said, braincells needed in that case.

Graphics are weird, kind of like "The sims" but they work pretty well. Decent deformations, and when there are situations where they are not decent, flaws are hidden with camera work to keep importat parts well shaped. If you pay atentipn you will notice.
Also there is kind of soft body physics (not jiggle) which adds something visually and that together with very good animations, even if the characters look weird, the sex scenes become the strongest feature that will carry the game.

The not so good points in my opinion:
There are some inconsistency issues for instance you can have sex with Raaisha at the fireplace before you officially have sex with her taking her virginity.
The virginity is another issue cause if there is a NTR scene where someone virginity is taken, that scene will not have any extra work to reflect it, or buildup, besides some text line. For instance Kate or Arianna, Frisha, and I think Raaisha if she is sent to the orcs, maybe there are more. So there is that extra kink factor missing.
So I feel that these NTR scenes are built as a punishment for vanilla players instead of a reward for ntr lovers. If it was a reward the scene would have the same amount of "narrative detail". Cause of that, many of those sscenes are not entirely satisfying if you were hoping for them.

Also as a bad note there is not much group sex, and there is a lot of one on one, even in scenes where there are more than 2 people involved. Not much orgy or debauchery going on, or its hard to achieve. I found that the highest detail or work in sex scenes is concentrated in one on one scenarios, while the group sex is much more similar to what other games do. There are still hot, for instance Kate Arianna 3some.

Anyway, lets summarize the good:
- Impossible to achieve everything in 1 playthrough.
-30+ hours of gameplay.
- Very good sex scenes with animations and body physiscs.
- It has cheatbook.
- The game doesnt block your second screen if you want to have a WT in it.

And the not so good:
- Group sex could be more kinky
- Not the same scene detail for deflowering in ntr.
- Characters look like the sims, it may misguide your opinion at first sight regarding its real quality.
- Many many girls look thick and busty.
- Without cheat is very demanding for a vanilla player.
- So many paths that inconsistencies are meant to happen.
- Mira is plot isolated and so far pretty much stuck with vanilla.

With the flaws described, and probaly others I havent seen yet, still totally recommended.

That's what you call an actual game. A lot of effort invested in this project. Great visual style, gameplay, stories. It is like Peasant's Quest, but has much more stuff in it.
This project causes some nostalgia for those games in 2000ies. To get some scenes you have to play, not just click your way through walls of text like in VNs, which certainly can't be called "a game". I wish developers luck with this game, because it's a rare type of project.

At first you might be discouraged by the renders, but you get used to them and boy is it worth it.

Almost every scene is animated. You also have a lot of sprites having sex, even when you are just walking around, this can be happening. It is amazing how much that does for the world to feel living.

As for the living world, npcs have schedules. You can pass time and they will more around their jobs, going to sleep, having sex... it is amazing and nothing comes close (mainly since the sprites are painted and not just pixels like most rpgmaker games).

The game at this point has SO MUCH content. You will spend hours upon hours and have fun doing so. The quests are interesting for the most part. I am interested in the mysteries. The world is nice. It has a bit of this grimdark feel to it, reminding me of some older fantasy games. Especially paired with the graphics (which remind me of divine divinity for example, the setting as well).

Overall a great experience. Only downside is that there are a lot of scenes and there are a lot of routes. Usually 2 routes between vanilla and sharing. I dont think any npc has to be shared, so if you have problem with that, you can avoid that (afaik). This will lead you to use walkthrough, which can be a bit annoying. You have a nice questlog, but you usually cannot read into these splits. Though using your brain a bit usually makes it pretty obvious which one is sharing and which one is not.

After years on this site, I think this might be the best game I encountered. So much content and completely unique in its design. Not just some shiny renders put into a mediocre story in a VN. This is a true game, blending both interesting gameplay and the porn aspect. This comes from a guy who cant usually give 2 shits about the non porn aspect of games.

I am really looking forward to what this game will become when even more stuff is added. Even as it is, you are looking at about 20 hours of content at least. My last save has 21 hours and thats with me not having completed a bunch of storylines yet.

Great game, consistent updates and just overall a fun experience. So far I've been having a blast with this and I hope to see it continue to grow in the future.

The only downside for now is that you have'nt been able to start a family yet though this has started to change with some of the latest updates and we'll see what the future brings.

I find the art in this game charming (albeit somewhat weird) and I mostly enjoy the content.
But dear lawd this game is super grindy.
I clocked at 47 hours of gameplay on current save (so not including stuff like reloading an earlier save)

The game has 3 ways to play:
1. NTR off - all NTR content disabled
2. Chad in NTR world - various hentai villains like Fat/Noble/Rich/Old Bastards who try to exploit the girls. And you gotta beat them to the punch and save the girl and fuck her yourself. If you mess up you get cucked. Better use the guide.
3. Cuck in NTR world - you peep and fap as your childhood friend/crush/foster mother/whatever gets exploited by a Hentai Bastard.

Aside from that you have your own corruption/purity meter and so does every girl.
But the purity route is rather threadbare and there are a bunch of weird things in it (for example alchemy is impossible in pure route because you can not fill vials with water)
Also each girl has 2 routes you can pursue, which are "lover" and "whore". This is seperate from corruption/pure. So you can have a pure lover or a corrupt lover. You may corrupt a girl at any time during her route.

Personally I played in NTR off, lover routes, and corruption (with the occasional pure act as per personal taste).
it seems to work, dev accounts for all those many variants. And the NTR blocker works as well.
I have so far only encountered one case where NTR happened despite NTR being off, I reported it and it was fixed in a single day.

There is also the very odd choice to make it impossible to enable cheats in an existing the game. The only way to enable cheats is at the start of a new game. By the time I wanted to enable cheats I was already 26 hours into the save and was unable to do so without losing all my progress. Cheats are rather meh as well. I highly recommend you enable them but just don't use them immediately, only when you decide you had enough.

If this game was not so damn grindy I would have rated it a 5 despite the other flaws.

A Struggle with Sin [v0.4.7.0a] [Chyos]

1. Fairly good, appreciate the hard work by the developer
2. Story: Outstanding ancient historic nature story
3. Quality of characters image & rendering not so good
4. Game having numerous options is certainly a plus point
5. Looking forward for the next version

Initially, I came here because "regular" games always felt incomplete, omitting an important part of storytelling. Most games here of course are at the exact opposite end of this spectrum, they are solely about sex, storytelling be damned. But there is a few games that manage to do both and a Struggle with Sin is very very unique that way.

I truly can't remember a game that is as unapologetically a choose-your-own-adventure. NTR may be a sensitive topic for many, but its implementation here is masterful. The fate of each NPC can go both ways. There is always this sense of danger, but the game is never unfair that way. There is always a warning and a way to choose their fate, but you may have to work for it. BUT unlike so many happy brainless (and ultimately boring) harem games here, there is an actual sense of danger in a nasty but living and breathing world that boosts the narrative above and beyond most games you will play here.

Yes, it is still largely about sex, yet the story is much more than that. In the end, it is a master piece of world building, character building and choice and consequence.

This is a game I often check up on and come back to. When an RPGM game is done right, they become some of my favorites on the site. This is one of them.

What I like about A Struggle with Sin is that it's a proper game along with all the lewd stuff. It fills that craving of a game I can just put hours into because there is so much to do.

You take the role of a young villager, who after a few plot developments, has basically hit rock bottom. You're given control from there. There's a variety of directions to go in, tasks and quests to work on, and lots of girls to romance (or corrupt) along the way.

The renders look rough, but they surprisingly grew on me very quickly. To a point I'd say I actually even like them. They have a certain style to them that just fits with the game. The animations are actually very good as well, which was something I wouldn't have expected.

I mentioned that you can sink hours into the game, and again that's because there's so much to do. See what's going on with a tribal village, form a mercenary band, become a witches' apprentice, and flirt up the tavern girls to name a few. At the same time, there's also a lot of more menial tasks that you have to do. This is where some would probably get thrown off. You have hunger, energy, and lust to manage. You have to hunt, mine, farm, and grind out XP and Gold to progress at some points. I enjoy it because it's still only a part of the game, and not something that's always in the way. You're still going to spend a lot of your time focusing on the romancing parts.

This is a game I'd only recommend if you enjoy RPGs and don't mind some grind. But if you do like those things, this game is one of the better on the site that fits.

Review as of v0.4.7

Still has a lot to give. Really hopeful that this game doesn't get abandoned because the plot hasn't got to the grand scheme yet but it's already full of events even in just one region.

There's tons of fucking around but it's not just that. This feels like a proper rpg with farming/hunting/crafting and some other stuff involved. And the branching paths are thought-out between love/corruption and the optional NTR. Your choices and actions have real impact on how you want your harem to be. There are a whole lot of characters and most have their unique personalities/backgrounds and paths to complete.

The problem with this game is that you'd really need a walkthrough/guide to make the most out of it because this is a complex game. This is a grinding game especially at the very start. Leveling up is tiring early on but the points you earn are needed because they make your gameplay less grindy. That's why you need a guide so you don't have to waste in leveling stats that you don't need for the time being. You also have to manage hunger and income. Combat is done solo early on before you could actually have two characters joining your party. Combat is okay. Nothing spectacular but it gets the job done. It's only later once you slowly gain progress that they become an easy routine compared when you first started out.

Character models and graphics are a mixed bag. Some hot. Some good. Some are not to my liking(just bad). It does looked like game is made 15 or more years ago but some characters and animations(yes, a whole lot of them) are very beautiful, sultry, and erotic. If it's one thing that the dev Chyos show promise is that he/she is willing to improved the models(like Claire, Maui, and that gal who live south of Penny). Here's hoping he/she would continue to improved more. Like Emily, Penny's nose and Tia in my opinion.

A pretty solid RPG with a really impressive amount of content.
Animations are pretty basic loops that seem a bit janky sometimes, but together with the story/relationships do get pretty spicy - I like that the women can orgasm multiple times during an animation loop.
One word of warning: this game is pretty difficult in terms of getting the scenes you want. I would personally recommend playing using the walkthrough as I had a lot more fun this way.
If you want to have a relaxing fap with a decent background story, then use the Cheatbook (option available in-game - not a mod).

Overall, I liked it and would recommend giving it a go! I think most would enjoy it
