I don't know about the whole "dissing pool for newcomers and not "mainstream faction" but like any( I'll call it forum) (please correct me if my naming is wrong. ) you'll find people for and against things and even people who are in the middle, The Discord does have mods and they do a good job keeping the drama down, not sure if that counts for any thing for you guys but if you happen to have a spare dollar or your countries equivalent feel free to join.

Chyos would have to name such mods though and based on what I heard of one of the guys before he quit, it was a hellscape where people were ganging up and openly insult and attack people that wouldn't be part of their group.

At the moment the Discord has 2 mods, one mod is an older guy who is level headed and neutral he'll probably start blushing hearing me say that, The new guy I haven't had the time to chat with him so can't say much about him, as for attacking people I can't say much since you long timers know I can be an asshole to all "factions" pending my mood. lol
for the Mod your talking about , I can't agree or disagree with him, that's how he felt about it, and I don't think anyone can tell him/her their feelings are wrong. all i can say is give it a shot, at worst you lose a Dollar.

This is very true, Giron or dave would just need something like the black plague to kill off a few hundred nobles, then they can live on easy street , well besides all the countless attempts to kill them. but if you over looks those i think being king would be awesome!
Not sure really sure if it really get's "confirmed" or not in the game yet. But if you check the walkthrough there are notes that they can now get pregnant so it's most likely just a check for now that they are pregnant and then in future content it will develop more.
How do i become Gwen's apprentice? after talking to her it only ask me to be her slave not apprentice. The walkthrough says nothing about that.

also, the mercs in the mines are dying. one per day. I don't receive any notification nor can I collect their gear, is this some kind of bug or am I doing something wrong?
now since the mercs are dying, can, or rather, when will we be able to build an extra tent in the camp to have some backup?
note: all my mercs are trained and equipped, when one dies in the mine, I send one from the trading route
