Anyway to smooth out the performance and gameplay ?

Hardly, I tried it as well and had to switch to laptop. You will also have problems with some minigames on the phone. You could increase performance by trying to find heavy plugins and turn them off, this might break some things ingame tho.

Letting Thomas get his way with Kate is what you're doing wrong. Almost as bad as letting Dasan become the chieftain .
