By the way, anyone know if Chyos has a plan in mind if they eventually run into the hard limit RPGM has on number of maps? At some point, likely long before the game is finished, that will become an issue to be dealt with.

I opened a gyu game that I had in hand and it had 420 maps files. This one has currently 120. I don't know the limit but I pretty much doubt he'll reach it anytime soon.

It's hardcoded to 999 maps in the engine. Also I know it won't be reached anytime soon. Just saying if you have a long term project, you have to think long term as well. Was curious if Chyos had ever remarked what they intend to do when they do eventually reach that point. Every update exponentially adds more maps, especially as we start moving out of the base town and open up the other cities. Every house and shop is a map (or more if it has multiple floors), ever city area is at least one map (or more, since Rumah has two sections to it), every dungeon can have multiple maps, and so on. Of course Chyos can also stretch the number if they make clever uses of parallaxes.

The proper answer, since you are the very first person to bring this up in this thread, is that -if he does have any- he never shared it on official announcements.
As for the reply, it was to my knowledge the most possible educated one. He took 6 years to reach 124 maps and not only does he have a plan for the overall plot to this game but a sequel of sorts as well. So him reaching 999 maps is, contrary to your speculation, highly unlikely.

Viva la Chyos, the greatest developer of RPGM source. I hope I will be leaving to the end of developing of this game, because before this game I had no idea that RPGMs could have such high-quality projects.

A Struggle with Sin and Peasants Quest are doing the arnold handshake from predator.

I do believe both games has 4-5 years still in them until "completion". They really have a slow dev cycle.
