I have to start all over again? Jeez, I hate doing tedious missions like Frisha and Arianna

If you've played the game long enough (several restarts after new releases) then you can use an editor for certain items, other items you'll still need to earn in order to prevent the game from going buggy. Some devs will allow this others seem to lock you or punish you out of the game (were talking the game itself) for trying it. I ran into a few where I was allowed to edit certain things (items, money) but if I tried to mess with the variables of the game, I would load up the game and nothing happened other then a dialog window telling me to stop messing with the game.

i hope the V.0.4.0 can load the save and no need start from begin

0.4.0 will ONLY be able to load saves from Version 0.3.9.5
Earlier ones will be invalidated

yes... Version 0.3.9.5 is a Patreon only test build release... which is also the version that invalidize saves from previous versions.
so once 0.4.0.0 is released you'll have to start a new game

When you defeat the bandit click on the body, you should get the chance to recruit him

If you meant the game, just look at any game on this site...
The game practically just started we have only 2 towns, the plot has just begun, et cetera.
So even in 2 years it won’t finish if I understood chyos’ plans, kinda bold assuming it will finish soon

Heya there guys, My saves are not working like on version 3.8.5 and the new 3.9.0 one, just wanted to ask if I created a new playthrough then will it be able to be transferred to the 3.9.5 once it's released since I've reading about old saves not working on versions before 3.9.5.

As others have mentioned, try turning off auto battle, and also go up to the dead body left behind and click on it. However, you also need to make sure to sit down with Lyvia at the campfire first to discuss recruiting members. If you haven't done that yet, you won't get the option to recruit them.

Usually the .0 versions come out in the second to last week of the month, sometime between Wednesday and Saturday. So like a 25th or 27th or something like this. They will never come out in the middle of July, that is around when the .5 versions come out that are work in progress to the .0 version.

releases are normally on Friday though... so last Friday of the month for .0 and Friday in the middle of the month for .5
Unless time was simply not enough or some mayor bug was discovered dureing testing, than Updates can be pushed back to the following Monday... but never saw a release later than that, unless it were more bugfixes

I had reviewed the last few .0 updates: only one was on a Friday (besides the one just released). A couple on Wednesday, one on Thursday, another on Saturday. Sooo...yeah. I'll go with "it varies".
