wish the quest logs had more hints or random hints encounter around the places because wow it really is a detective guessing game without going trough the walktrough

If you don't follow the walktrough faithfully, you need to pay attention to conversations and understand that events happen in sync with time. So chat with a girl at 6am, 9am, 12pm, 4pm, 6pm, 8pm, 10pm and 12pm! Something different in the dialog might change or some quest might start.

When you investigate the properties of your cum, you consult with the town alchemist / shopkeeper. He develops the idea of cumwine, and he ends up keeping the first prototype bottle of it.
Even if you choose not to sell him anymore, he still has that 1 single prototype bottle, which he delivers to Giron.

Giron in turn gives it to dave, who tries to use it on various girls (for some reason it does not get used up when he is using it. while for you it gets used up after 1 dose).
You can specifically sneak into dave's room and steal it back. swapping it for a regular wine bottle.

As you say, Giron is a politician, and dave is spoiled brat. Dave makes me think of the chinese saying "tiger father, dog son".
Giron has significantly raised his family up compared to how he started. Dave will bring it to ruins the moment he is given control.
