Good morning,
Friday again and time to give you a review of the past week.
It started with me continuing the work on the fortress map. I did some tests and not everything worked out as I had envisioned it, because of that I wasn't able to finish that last Friday and it took a good part of Monday as well.
Tuesday I then decided to finally finish the implementation of the 4 new animations I already made. I also added some new equipment for the party members.
Balancing the strength of enemies is still something I didn't put enough time in... But the idea that I have is that you would be able to defeat the next stage of enemies when you face them when being equipped with the previous armor tier...Then in the area of the new enemies you will find a new set which makes the current enemies easy to fight and helps for the next tier and so on.
Obviously that isn't the case at the moment and the talent system makes it even harder as you can thereby get extra defenese or attack values. I hope that with the next rework update I have enough time to get closer to my vision for such a tier based enemy system.
The next part on my to do list was to work on the inner camp. For that I needed some additional sprites and models. Also the original map I made didn't satisfy me. Because of that I edited it a bit further and rendered some additional furniture.
Yesterday I then finally worked on some more animations, which took the whole day.
And now it's Friday already...It's always shocking to me how quickly a whole week is gone. And yes, I'm not even close to where I wanted to be in terms of progress.
The end event is still missing and also the aftermath.
And then there is the additional content for Tia & Katherin that I want to add to somewhat conclude the story for which I'm still missing some animations/transition images.
So time to be realistic. It's not possible to complete that today. I still have today and Monday+Tuesday before the month ends. As promised before I will release an update before the time is up, which means I will release an update on Tuesday.
But that won't be the full 0.5.3.0 update. Still I will get it to a point where you can complete the quest. But the part with Tia & Katherin bonding a bit further won't be included. That has to be done right and I want to take the appropriate time for it. Fortunately, I have 2 weeks left in February to keep working and get it to a point where I'm satisfied.
As said before you will get all content I make in February for free if your subscription is still active by the end of January. I will pause billing on January 31th for a month. If you've missed that info check the last Friday report (
