my "whole" argument was that I'd rather have games with fucked up/heavily flawed characters like this one than, say, STS or other Harem games, because they're all pretty similar with their usage of tropes and their only big difference being the artstyle and gameplay gimmick

I mean, you have an alternate world and portals where some cult is trying to sacrifice you and most of the characters in this game are toxic in some way or form, so ?????

I don't know who is more "broken," this character or Ann from Big Brother. Both show serious signs of PTSD.
It's fine if you like fucked up characters, but don't just assume people who don't like fucked up characters only appreciate 'cookie cutter flowers and rainbows shit' and disparage them as people who believe that, as you put it, " absolutely every woman belongs to them and only them."
If you read back on my comments you'll also see I never attacked you for liking different things. The most hostile I got was telling you to stop being an idiot when you asked if I could tell the difference between a game and reality.
All I expressed was that the character was indeed fucked up by any realistic measure, and that just because you don't like fucked up characters doesn't suddenly mean you must think of women as personal objects without agency. Which was what you implied.

Weird how I come back to this after a lot of time and it's *worse* that before.
Before I felt like it had a weird but mostly complete story.
Now I can't even trigger the story. Literally went everywhere. Apparently something somewhere is broken. Jane/sis/whatever isn't progressing passed the first interaction but the other side quests are mostly done...
I'm going to guess this is just coding errors somewhere that destroyed the continuity somewhere.
I tried to use the skip to new content but there is no option to enter the other world as a start. So... Ya.
Guess I'll come back in another year? xD

Well, he's actually an alternate reality version of her husband, though she doesn't know it. So, in some ways, he is an interloper. I figure since that is revealed before the stuff above, it's not a spoiler. We still don't know why they decided to swap alternate reality wives.

I'm dividing this into 2 posts, just cuz I want the thoughts separated.
1. the stuff about the dad destroying the fort, and the "good dad" coming back is parto of the sister's story not the moms. that stuff can happen after you've already banged the mom and finished her story. Actually, depending on how you play the game, it can NOT HAPPEN AT ALL if you don't do the sister storyline.
2.therefore, you never become a "sidepiece" after the fiasco where you catch them fucking and he beats her, she is pretty much exclusively yours. She basically replaces him with you
3.You can beat up the dad during that scene, and she sleeps in your bed that night and gives you a blowy, so it's not a TOTAL loss.
4. she only did that in front of you to make you jealous anyway, and to "get back at you" yes, that is some toxic shit. Basically all the relationships in the game are like that. This entire game is like that/
5. It's honestly unclear whether or not mom and dad continue to have sex. It is never shown or implied, and you can basically call her over to fuck anytime you want? Would probably be harder to do that if she was having sex with the dad with any regularity. Not to mention you can have like, all day fuck sessions with her, so it's pretty clear who she "belongs to" now either way. This is clearly you stealing her
