We want to make a disclaimer that the game itself is still under review by Steam but we have made thorough, sufficient changes to certain elements and themes to comply with Steam’s policy. We are confident that it will be approved but there still is a tiny chance that it won’t.
But GeeSeki, why should I get it on Steam?
Buying A Town Uncovered on steam is a one-time purchase and thus, you will have access to future Steam updates at no extra cost!
Not to mention the game will include Steam’s exclusive features such as cloud saving, achievements, and eventually Steam trading cards. More info on this closer to the release date.
I must preface that for every new A Town Uncovered Steam update, there will be 2 Patreon updates. This is so that we can provide owners on Steam a bigger, more polished update roughly every 4 months.
What if I don’t want to get it on Steam?
Don’t worry, we will still be putting the game up here on a bi-monthly basis (roughly every 2nd month).
We will be making a change in the Patreon tier though and they will be as followed:
$1 Tier - Discontinued
$3 Tier - News and Discord Access
$5 Tier - All the Above + Game Access and Poll Voting Rights
$7 Tier - All the Above + Cheat Codes and 1 Week Early Access

These changes will take place AFTER the $3 tier of this coming update (0.29) which will first be available for 2 Week Early Access on the 10th of July.
What if I don’t want to pay to play?
Unfortunately, the downside is that we will not be able to release any more free Public Versions once we release it on Steam. We would have loved to be able to provide you with continuous easily accessible content but Steam would not allow for it.
I implore you to add the game to your wishlist and wait for a good sale to snag it up if you’re tight on cash, not only will you still be able to support the game, but you’ll be able to keep it and play future Steam versions at no extra cost.

We are so excited to move to the next stage of A Town Uncovered!
This project started out with just me and a dream, and 4.5 years in and we now have a development team consisting of myself (creator and game director), DarkMage (programmer), Robert Hawkins (writer), and now Smear (artist).
It has definitely been a really long journey so far and we have a lot to keep working on but the goals are clearer than ever and our drive to complete storylines are stronger than ever.

Do you know details? Did Geeseki change the family elements to the typical euphemisms? ’Cause I noticed that even if you didn’t choose that option in the beginning the game occasionally referred to the characters as your sister and mother and such. Or is this more about all the schoolkids? Steam sometimes bans school-kids depicted in a sexual manner, as I recall.

yea sorry but i dont know any details and im sure neither the patreons, right now all i know is that they are gonna work hard now cause they joined a game group and its going to release on steam soon (if steam accepts it), the only changes we know they had to change cause of the rules is the incest part that they already done it cause of patreon.
