Yeah it will be fun to play this as a 90 years old grandpaWell this is how groups work who use patreon. I like it more when a game has a release date insted of getting different versions every 1-3 month. Sadly it can't be helped.
You know you don't have to download each and every beta update, you could treat this just like any other non-patreon / major commercial game developer product.
eg. Treat this is a trailer release / tech demo to announce that a new game is underdevelopment by said group, that the actual game will be available to the general public to play anywhere from 1-3 years from the release of the initial trailer. (assuming nothing goes wrong like: change of engine; reduction of funding; change of staffing; change of core feature set; decision to start project again; etc... (ie. the excuses most major game developer houses give for a delayed first release.))

With this game, it's essential to always start a new game with each update. You can skip through the dialogue pretty quick to get back to where you were with the CTRL key. Most Ren'Py games require a new game each update, except games like Superpowered, as it patches the save each time.
