it seems geeseki kind of "dislikes" the porn game he made, course alot of sex games made by the period summertime saga was in a boom attempted to copy the cake recipe but still, his focus on developing a non-sex game shows the dev's true focus, shame because the art is kind of nice.

An update on what to expect in the upcoming Alpha 0.54 but also what to expect for the next few updates.
I've reworked the main story and cut out about 45 chapters from act 3 and condensed the story elements into 15 chapters to complete the story. The main story will now conclude during the 2nd revisit of the sex world when you're going in to save Effie from Xina's capture. Gonna be honest, it's not the cleanest or the most free flowing change but I've decided to do this to minimize the amount of art assets and work left needed to turn this game from an ALPHA into a FULL version.
There's no new H-scenes for 0.54 but we've cleaned up some kinks in the code and solely focused on reorganizing and implementing the main story changes.
If you're out of the loop and it isn't obvious from how quiet this Patreon is, this game is no longer my focus and I would dearly LOVE to move on from this project without completely abandoning it when it's so close to a FULL release. I'll aim to have a full version done by the end of this year and to continue delivering H-scene content for a few months in 2025, slowly dwindling it out but the ultimate goal is for me to not have to mentally anguish at the thought of this game.
I won't be starting up any new side stories, I'll clean up and polish any existing ones but besides that, I look forward to working on more exciting, more fulfilling, less stress-inducing projects. Sorry to disappoint anyone who expected me to keep ATU's development going for another decade, it's already been 7, about time to close up shop on this title.
I'm focused on my other game, Sugar Service and have an early prototype game for a futa-Valkyrie roguelike deckbuilder with DnD elements and branching storytelling. If that's up your alley then I recommend keeping and eye out.
Thanks for reading and understanding folks! GeeSeki's journey started with ATU and I can't thank it enough for giving me the opportunity to grow and learn as a h-gamedev. But it's story is now coming to an end to make space for new ones.

Not sure when exactly, but I’m sure I predicted this a few years ago.
It has clear that the dev stopped caring about actually completing the game for some time. There were still hints of good content, but the main story was left broken, incomplete, with a dissatisfying story arc/resolution for long enough that completing in a sensible fashion has felt impossible for a while.
There are enough building blocks to make a satisfying conclusion of the sex world exploration and story arc, but the dev didn’t seem to plan for that.

i wonder how his paypiggies feel now, expecting him to finish the storyline and bugfix the game and all... but the storyline is being cutoff in order to focus on bugfix which considering geeki's story, probably won't happen, anyway i'll download and keep 0.53a with all the upcoming story cuts...

people like to keep up the flames going, besides geese's artstyle is quite... unique-ish, until you make a AI draw like him, it's not like taffy tales where the art was swapped with AI easily and only the anatomical issues that happens with ai art is what gave it away
i honestly think geese wants to cut corners to get the game as "finished" in a way, he didn't even fix how the sex world works, i literally got transported to it while jane was still angry post-boxfort break, it was weird i tell ya but i can tell he just overlooked that due to the rush to get the game finished, a cool premise especially because of the implications,

Do you know what "evidently" means? Care to explain why he has no reason to do better? He's worked on this game for 7 years and produced a buggy mess with a mediocre story that is only somewhat redeemed by his unique art style and the incest content that appeals to many. To give credit to him though, his new game Sugar Service looks much better and seems to be a lot more refined.

it's obviously going over your head that geese doesn't care and he is paid to not care either, if anything whenever a dev goes with this cycle, stuff should play out more like nymphomania priestess did where people picked up the pieces and started doing their thing with it.

Can you read? I was talking about his newer game which is much cleaner and a lot more bug free. We're all aware of the mess that A Town Uncovered is you imbecile. Learn to read the full message before replying so you don't look like such a complete fuckin' idiot.

I'm aware of that, but I was just curious as to why that user thinks that Geeseki has no need to 'do better' when clearly he has shown there are a million things he needs to work on.
Geesekiboda definitely fixed a bunch of bugs since then. Heck, he ‘fixed’ the bugs in the MomxSis route at least five times because things kept breaking.
Of course, several of the ‘fixes’ consist of simply patching out the broken content. For example, some of the broken office mini-games were simply removed. Same with some of the endgame content, where Geeseki "patched" the hole in the code by simply stitching the broken part to a later part of the story, while the content that should have bridged these parts is still missing.
If he didn’t make the development log private some time ago, I’d give you more examples of fixed bugs. It’s simply that he doesn’t fix all the bugs.
Geeseki had at least two viable options:
1) Turn the sinking ship around and work hard at actually fixing the game.
2) Let it die while dragging things out with minimal updates to milk it for as long as possible.
He did a half-hearted attempt of the first, when ~2 updates were focused on filling in missing content and fixing bugs instead of adding new content. Then, he gave up and has let it slowly die. Now that the new game gives him as much as the old does, he finally makes it official that he’s done with ATU.
Since he’s getting away with this, I don’t get why he’d have a "need to ‘do better’". What he does works, clearly.

Again, I understand what he did from a developmental standpoint. Take the easy route out as people were naive enough to still support him. Doesn't change what I said though; he does need to do better. That being said, he has shown his competency with Sugar Service and it's a shame that ATU is too far-gone for him to redeem.

if darkcookie can pull a "we're rewriting AND redoing the art of summertimesaga again" then gesse could pull that off too without much complaints from his paypigs, especially if he went on with a tech demo that works as a preview for how bugless and the new changes on the coding.
