Thank you for illustrating my point so beautifully. I'm not comparing AI to Daz per se. Both can be amazing if done well and you listed quite a few Daz artists that do great work and as my original point was, bad AI gets pointed out but bad Daz doesn't. You highlight the laziness of many AI generators but fail to mention the poor Daz that has been multiplying on this thread. Daz images of Sophia, etc., that look nothing like the characters they are meant to represent, many who look like plastic renditions of barbie dolls, etc. I could go on and on. You read my post and pointed out great Daz but failed to point out the poor.
On the contrary, bad Daz art Does get called out. I know for a fact that I personally have called out renders that had Sophia characters that looked too young, too large breasted, too thick, hips too wide, faces too round or not even resembling the original game model. Same goes for other characters in the game. I've been critical of having Dylan too young and short, of Sam's age and height varying. The critiques are there from me and many others, if you bother to go back in the thread far enough and not just picking out recent posts to make an argument about AI.
Furthermore, I for one, am the least critical about AI But, if it doesn't look good I'll call a spade a spade. MHO, if you're going to post AI renders, at least have the decency to refine the finished work before posting and make the models look less like plastics Barbies and more like photo-realistic versions of the renders, which is what the Rendering-type artists are griping about. It's about the effort put into it moreso than the style. Anything that looks like it was just slapped together like a freaking McDonald's hamburger is Going to get some heat, whether hand drawn, computer-rendered or computer-program assisted ( because it Ain't AI. True AI is being able to create something from scratch based on an imagination, which computers can't do since they don't Have imaginations.)
