I have to show you a real torture.

Only this much progress in 1 hour :D:D:D
That's insane. I would have stopped it as soon as it took longer than 1 min for an iteration. On my old card, a 1050TI, it only had 4G or VRAM so I had to be careful what I put in the scene. Put too much detail, and the renderer will automatically drop to a CPU render as it needs enough VRAM (RAM on your video card) to do it or it will use the CPU which is way slower.

Ways to combat this with an older card, is to delete any object in your scene that isn't visible to the camera, if you can't see it, it is only wasting precious VRAM, even body parts, you can hide various body parts that aren't visible like perhaps the bottom of a leg is just off the camera view, click it and click the eye in the object list window which will hide it and body parts that are hidden (or deleted) won't use VRAM. You can also use software that will reduce your texture size by a quarter which I found is fine and usually you don't notice the difference except a 2048x2048 texture takes up 1/4 the VRAM as a 4096x4096 texture.

Use to reduce your texture size (big help!!!) of all objects in your scene.
Use to automatically remove objects in your scene outside of your camera view. It's not perfect, but it does an adequate job.

Here's a scene I rendered on my old card using all of these methods...

Now here's this SAME scene seen from a perspective view and you can see how I removed all body parts and scene objects not visible to conserve VRAM to render it faster. I also used the software I listed (scripts you use in DAZ) to reduce the texture size. I actually rendered this view by accident after hitting the render button before I switched to my camera view, but decided to keep it...

I've seen this now. Now I'll try and render again. Doesn't turning off the CPU slow the rendering?
The GPU is MUCH MUCH MUCH faster at rendering, at least if it is an NVidia GPU as they have CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture) cores which are dedicated to just doing math, and they do it much better than a CPU, usually by the sheer number of them on a GPU. BUT, you need to have your 3D geometry and textures all on your video card.

When you load in a scene, everything gets loaded into regular system memory, then when you got render, it loads what is needed into your video card memory to render it using the GPU CUDA cores to do the heavy math work. That's why when you HIDE an object or body part, it saves VRAM. It is still loaded into system RAM, but NOT into VRAM when you go to render it due to it being hidden, saving video memory.

This is also why, if you're considering a video card upgrade, the #1 consideration should be the amount of video RAM the video card has. I just grabbed a 3060 video card with 12G of VRAM and it has made a HUGE difference. If you have to use a CPU, not only do you have a very limited computing power compared to thousands of CUDA cores, but the CPU also has to communicate across the system bus to regular system RAM.

My G3F Ellie character. I attached the Scene Subset to this post for anyone who wants it. I tried to as closely match the in game character as I could...

Ellie (G3F).jpg

The scene subset contains data from the from the following assets...

Mike1954 GenHair 4 NewGen 4 V7 (don't know where I got it now) - this is not the original pubic hair the game uses, but was the closest I had.
Edit: Almost forgot, the main character asset used in this was: .

not working. exe wont open the game.
Which operating system are you using? This one was made with the new RenPY 8.0 and is 64bit only. 32bit support is dropped with it, so if you're still using a 32bit OS, it won't work with it. Otherwise, I can't think of what the problem would be as I tested it myself on Windows 10, 64bit.

Has anyone else had problems with it? Like I said, it worked for me, I always test before I upload. I even ran through the entire story start to finish (holding down CTRL to zip through).

I was just working on completing Sophia's bedroom and I was wondering if anyone knows off hand where the bed comes from (he changed the bed to something new later on in order to be able to change the sheets etc), also the TV, stand and closet she has her clothes in are all added to the bedroom. I think I can locate the TV and stand (I hope), but I am not sure about the closet she uses or the new bed.

Here's screenshots of the original bed that comes with the bedroom...
Original Bed.jpg

And the new bed that replaces it...
New Bed.jpg

The headboard of the new bed should help identify it I figure.

In the following screenshot you can see the TV, stand and closet she uses. That is normally a flat white wall in the original bedroom asset.

Incidentally, I came across a problem while making this scene. Both characters have genitals on them (even though you don't see them, I guess I could have deleted them). Anyhow, when you apply the wet look it causes the normal texture to vanish from the genitals! It looks strange, but I solved the problem and wanted to share what I did.

I selected the genital object in this (in this case, "New Genitalia for Victoria 7"), and then I applied the wet look to it as well. BUT, that will cause more artifacts. You then have to select the main character (not the genital object), and then select the "Wet Skin Shell" object attached to the character. Then go to your parameter tab and select "Shell" under the "Wet Skin Shell" item and you'll see a listing of all the body parts the wet shell is applied to. You'll want to turn off the shell for the hips and thighs (on mine they are labeled "WG_0_Hip", "WG_0_lThigh" and "WG_0_rThigh") as those were replaced by the genitals and everything will look fine when you're done.

This was a problem that plagued me for a while. I also noticed problems when combining tanlines and the wetlook at the same time. I haven't bothered with both again yet, but I imagine the solution is similar. I plan to run some tests to see.

Hope this helps someone else if you had this problem.

Someone else had problems due to missing assets with my Ellie G3F scene subset, so I went over it and created a new one with just the character, no additional morphs needed, no pubic hair or genitalia with this, just the hair asset and character plus adjustments. You can always add your own genitals and pubes to this no problem, but it will eliminate errors.

This is what she looks like in this... no big difference... should work if you have the base assets I linked.
