Mostly filler. There isn't any real reason this teaser couldn't have happened right after the end of the game broadcast, but LP always has to make events/routes/everything bloated to make it "special".

He could've even had a movie, and all that happened during the movie, take place wherever Part 5 is taking place. And it would've have been interrupted by having to go home either.

I'm still waiting on a plot twist or reveal that Marie and Claire are having or had lesbian sex at one point. I love it when stories pull a "oh we've done that taboo thing too". Route a Sophia discovers it and they do the classic "we have to seduce her to keep it secret" unaware Sophia has done the same thing and route b Dylan walks in on them and Claire remembers Sophia giving permission to put "the moves on him" claire goes along with it because of the male fantasy

Exactly this. L&P is the master of unnecessary filler. I keep saying cut the filler and we could have two to three scenes in one update and still have a quality story that would move along at a steady pace.
Instead we get the AVN version of a tellanovella.

I miss the dudes who were claiming scripting and translation would take no more than a week, they've gone mysteriously AWOL when the progress bar didn't start to move 15% per day.
