There's really no reason to believe that he's going to build a team. Even IF he actually hired an animator for this update, L&P has made excuses for years about why he can't hire anyone- and then has promised that he'll look into it. At no point has he ever formally introduced a team, and since he supposedly hired the animator the delay has only gotten worse.

Until he announces a team and gives actual names of real people, there's no reason to think that he'll ever pursue this option.

This year is just a Playable Day 13 update ? Next year is PD 14. Next Next year is PD 15. Next next next year is PD 16. We need more "next" before we reach 30 PD

Got to say, as much criticism as L&P gets, I've been let down so many times by devs who just walk off the game but keep their fans on the hook (Gumdrop being the most obvious example for me)...that I'm grateful he releases anything at all. Sure its a low bar, but so is my porn game hobby.

Maybe the waits are longer, the content shorter, maybe he is "milking", maybe he is being disingenuous with his Patreons...But I do know he releases stuff eventually and the stuff is good. And that new animation is really good (just the wrong choice of characters IMO). How long will I have to wait to see an Ellie/Sophia animation? I don't know but ohhhh it will be a great day when it comes.

So I'm throwing a little love to L&P. I hope he finds someone that can help him out with faster content while not having too much of a negative impact on his bottom line. Cash is king and unless more help = more money, I don't see it happening.

The earliest opportunity of seeing a Sophia Ellie animation is on the next Day. They have a scene together. If you're lucky it could be the very first scene of the day.

Or maybe people who have set the bar for quality and can improve it in the process without losing speed are better organized? People trying to figure out if the colour of the bricks match the ones at the school or the cafe, and if the lighting of the sun comes from the east trying to figure out the time and place Sofia is thinking lewdly about holding her sons hand. All the time spent talking about L&Ps lack of progress (pun intended) they could have found a real girlfriend out there. Enjoying a good erotic novel is one thing. Obsessing over a virtual chick is a mental condition that needs psychiatric observation.

I don't get what is this obsession of wanting to know who the animator is. I have played many games seen so many threads, never have I encountered a thread where people very going haywire about who is the animator.

Decentmonkey once again I'll mention. I have been playing his game for around 2 years now. I know he has a team. He thanks a lot of people in his game - supporters, translators, but not once have I seen the names of the people who animate. Both renders and Animations. Everything is under the banner of Decentmonkey, that's it. I never heard people on the thread worry about the animator not getting mentioned etc. That's their internal matter.
In Awam case
First, the animators name might be in the credits of the update.

Secondly if he wants the recognition and L&P is refusing it the person would have left.

Once again it is an internal matter for them to decide.

As for "blaming" the animator. It is more the case of saying things without filter. As is always the case with L&P. He says what he wants in the most unfiltered way, could be because it is his second Language but whatever. He straight up said the update is not out because the animator has not completed the animation work. There is actually no lie to that. He could have said it in a nicer way but it is what it is. This is the way he speaks.

He definitely should have been more transparent about this release. The animation bar suddenly appearing on the graph after everything else was at 100 was bound to cause rage. I think he may have done it to troll people.

OK just a quick question so we got a 2nd game from Pixil AWAM Fan game in like 7 months that have more images THEN ANY PREVIOUS UPDATE from L&P... and there are still ppl that defend him?!?!

I was a pledger back in 2019 but quite quickly noticed that he just went from fully involded in AWAM project to like "FCK IT they are going to give me money anyway!"
