The issue is the number of renders, but in L&P eyes, it's uncontrollable. Where you said it doesn't account for the quality issue, L&P would disagree because, again, he claims in his statement that.

In L&P's statement, he tells people that his quality can produce x amount of CS/renders, which could be anywhere from 20 to 1000 in a scene or event, and L&P claims that he has no clue what the final count will be. So, the example of 7 to 5 might not be that much, but on a larger scale, it is.
Yes, the story is getting bigger, but people don't realize that L&P is outside of his original plan of how long the story will take, which was already written at that time and was only to last two to three years when the statement was made back in 2018.

For a story already written, he planned out two to three years, and for it to jump to 20+ years shows that he extended the story, which is no longer written but now an outline, at best. Story "fluff" helped extend the shelf life. That is why each day is now blooming.

I simply took the figures I quoted and used the previous year as a base and then compared this against following year to get the %. You take 1st year value and treat as 100% (as you compare against it), then you take the value of the following year and compare against the 1st value % wise. This is a simple equation that will tell you the % of the following year in comparison to the one you are comparing against. You need to then subtract 100 from that number to get the % delta.
You don't even have to do that. You can take for example 2019 year number of renders 2480 and compare it with 2020 number, which is 2328. 10% of 2480 is around 250, based on this we know that 5% will be 125ish. Since the difference in number of renders between 2018 and 2019 is around 150ish then by rough estimation you know it will be 5%+, which matches with the earlier calculation of 6.1% and because 1st value is bigger than former it has to be a decrease.

The year 2020 is 2328, so how can the year 2019 be 2480?
Write the figures by year starting from 2018 here.
What I don't understand is how L&P hadn't anticipated all of that? If he/she intended the story to be a "slow burn" tale of corruption?, how did he/she expect 2 years worth of writing to do that?
I'm an amateur writer who's story about a nymphomaniac porn actress, started 5 years ago and is currently not even at 1/3 of the story being told. I've only covered about 10 days in my tale. Tbh, given the number of characters that I introduced, I may not get to finish anytime soon, and I don't even have illustrations involved!
I'm fairly certain that, if I tried to turn it into a VN, I would be at the same point as L&P. The thing is when introducing ancillary characters, your story grows exponentially. Again, how could he/she not anticipate how long a "slow burn" would take and having people helping to get it told?
Not trying to defend L&P in this next comment but, if you're hiring people to help you with an illustrated story, doing so Ain't cheap. If you go online to find someone to help with rendering or such, many have an asking price of at least €/$1500 per month; quite expensive. When doing collaborative work, it takes time because their work needs to be approved by the dev before being put into production.
My biggest gripe is, if you have the help, the rendered scenes should be getting better. Changing the character model, which was blamed for a delay, shouldn't have been a necessity. If he/she wants to move the story along, you don't need 15- 16 panels to cover a convo on the couch when 8 or 9 would do or, as someone pointed out, 3-4 panels showing Sophia leaving the room when 2, at the most, would do. I have to call into question L&P's judgment as well as their intent.

Tbh, I think the story should shift to that dynamic. Patricia is Definitely the more sexually open of the sisters and she has eyes on her nephew who she sees as a young man and possible side LI. It would make an interesting story with Sophia trying to keep Patricia away from Dylan while being somewhat hypocritical as she goes after Sam. Adding Amber to the mix would make for serious fireworks. I could see it now. Amber lusting for and going after Dylan, Sophia after Sam, both women trying to keep their affairs with their sons from each other.
Then there's Patrica who has the hots for her nephew and having no qualms about screwing him but being sneaky about it. Finally there's Dylan who clearly intends to get closer with Amber, while also being in love with and lusting after his mother and then developing feelings for Aunt Patricia that she's subtly opening. THAT would be great storytelling.
