Isn't it strange, though?
If it is really just a bonus event, then it shouldn't be exclusive because one can be in both paths, so why choose an alternative with no consequences in the story when the other is the hottest event of the game so far where the boundaries are pushed further and things happen that haven't happened in the game yet and should be relevant to Dylan's path.
It feels like storywise you would just lose by choosing the museum event, which makes sense considering it is a "bonus", but why make a bonus mutually exclusive?
Maybe the next event will make Sophia be unavailable somehow, by spending too much time with Dylan or shocked of what happened in it, or maybe since the dev reconsidered the museum event not being mutually exclusive, he might as well reconsider it having no consequences in the story.
